Highly recommend them to everyone! Nice facility and clean ! If you have a choice to pick who you work with ask for Thomas Guinn more he is professional, personable, and phenomenal at his job ! He appraised 2 of my cars in an hour maybe even less , I came back the next day do I could sell my car and he got to me and my husband right away and took care of everything we needed. Best customer service we’ve ever had , he deserves a raise !!

I got my dream car from CarMax!! Picked it out online and had it shipped from Greensboro. Had an excellent experience with CarMax of Asheville location! My representative Juan Quintana was awesome and very professional with my wife and me. I’d recommend this location and CarMax to anyone.

CarMax has pretty good cars but they’re not as good a deal as they used to be. And if you need to call them, forget it. You’ll get an agent in a different part of the country. They’re never staffed for answering the phone. Also, online buying a huge pain in the butt. Delivery exceptionally slow.

I had a great experience selling my car, I needed to get money for a vehicle that the turbo had failed on. CarMax gave me a fair offer and I sold the vehicle to them.

I just needed to sell a truck. I got an appraisal on their website first, then came into the store with no appointment. I had to wait just a bit before someone was available, but then things moved along decently quick. They gave me the offer that I got from their website and it was a pretty simple and quick process.I did hear two other people getting offers on vehicles who seemed appalled and surprised by how low their offer was. So I would definitely input your car's info online and see what their offer would be before going in person.

I had to sell my sister's car as a part of her estate after her passing. Kaleb Johnson made this the best customer service experience I've ever had. From figuring out all the documentation, to getting me the papers to sign and showing me how to do it, and making it all happen so quickly, I was so impressed! Kaleb took a very stressful experience and made it easy; he truly made this a stress-free experience, and made the handling of my sister's estate so much easier. You have an amazing employee in Kaleb---this man deserves a raise and lots of kudos!! Many thanks to Kaleb and CarMax for a superb experience. I am forever grateful.

Absolutely the worst RUN FAR AWAY seriously wish i could give a zero star . Don't look or buy a car from the asheville location. The manger is about as Illiterate as a gold fish. Btw spend around 60k in two new cars one a 2022 and other 2020. Less then 2 days of owning the 2020 the driver door doesn't lock nor unlock with key fobs or the buttons. The 2022 had about a month and the car literally left me setting in the middle of the road due to over heating and had to wait over an hr to get carmax to send a tow truck. The manger said their service tech is on vacation that would be over a week before they could even look at my car. They fail at communicating anything to their customers and literally try to sell you cars that have things wrong with them only good thing I will say is that gave us "loaner" cars to drive in the wait of our cars being worked on.

I sold a vehicle for an elderly parent and was pleased with the experience. Prior to my visit I priced the vehicle on the CarMax online site and received a coupon with a sale price. Other people had warned me that CarMax would find something wrong with the vehicle and reduce the amount. This was not my experience. After an inspection by a sales staff and then the manager, Car Max stuck with the online coupon offer. Car Max should create a FAQ for people like me, selling the vehicle on behalf of another individual and include a list of documents to be presented beyond the standard title and license. The paperwork process was a bit slow but we got it done.

Val was very helpful. He made the process easy. The CarMax offer was significantly better than our trade in offer but also significantly less than we could have sold it privately. Our SUV is something of a cult off road vehicle that enthusiasts seek out. Given that we didn’t want the hassle of a private sale, CarMax was by far the best alternative.
