I highly recommend Crossfit Surmount. I have a condition called dysautonomia and wasn't sure Crossfit would be 'for me'. I can honestly say it is for everyone. The coaches are understanding and motivating. There is a scaled (modified) workout for everyone and anyone and they focus on mobility, form, and overall wellness. My health is better today than before I walked through the Crossfit Surmount doors and I can thank the skilled coaches and my welcoming 6:30PM class for that. Drop in if you're in town or sign up for the On-Ramp class if you're new to Crossfit. It'll be the best part of your day :)

Dropped in for the 6am class on a Thursday. Had a great experience. The class was large and energized and the people were super friendly and welcoming. The space accommodated the large group nicely. I also loved that there were multiple coaches available to assist where needed. I highly recommend checking this place out!

My boyfriend and I dropped in while visiting the family during the holidays. The coaches and staff were extremely friendly. They have created a welcoming community and made it their mission for everyone to introduce themselves to us. The programming was great and I especially enjoyed that the coaches spent a great deal of time making everyone stretch beforehand. The coaches clearly know what they are doing and I can tell they take care of their athletes! We definitely would drop in again next time we are in the area.

I have only great things to say about CrossFit Surmount.I joined looking for something more challenging and intense than my current fitness routine, and not only did I find it, but I was also welcomed by a great coaching team and a fantastic community.Crossfit can be intimidating but the coaches go above and beyond to help you improve every day while making you feel comfortable and safe.Since I joined I have noticed my strength and energy go up, and my body fat go down. The workouts are fun and varied and are something I look forward too.I wouldn't think twice about joining CrossFit Surmount.

After Covid I had stopped going to the gym and gained weight which was affecting my health. I knew I had to work out but lacked the motivation to do so. Finally in September, 2023 my daughter signed me up for a class at CrossFit Surmount. As many newcomers to Crossfit – I didn’t think I could finish the workout, however, with the different scaling options, the help of the coach and the encouragement of the members I was able to complete the workout.I was exhausted but had a big smile due to the sense of accomplishment, the knowledge of the staff and the family atmosphere provided by the other members.The social, competitive and encouraging atmosphere of CrossFit Surmount has also increased my motivation to improve my nutrition. I joined the nutrition challenge in October and due to the success continue to work with my nutrition coach Jana to keep improving my health and performance. I have gone from over 235lb (30% body fat) when I joined in September to 215lb (17.5% BF) at the end of December.I was kept from joining earlier due to the perceived cost vs other gyms. However, each class is led and attended by well-trained coaches, athletes and very knowledgeable members that will help you improve in each session. Making CrossFit Surmount a great investment for your health.

Since joining CFS i have become mentally and physically stronger .Having people around that push me to my limits is what makes me a better athlete overallThe community is probably the biggest part for me. Its what makes me excited to go to the gym at 7 am, knowing i will see all my friends and have a good time

I was skeptical about CrossFit when I joined. I’d heard lots of good things but wasn’t sure if I’d fit in. I’ve always struggled knowing what to do when I work out and having a workout of the day really helped me know what’s happening. It’s a huge relief knowing I can also scale as I need to for my fitness level. I’ve never felt more welcome at a gym or box as I do at this one. No matter when I workout each class has great people and amazing coaches who are always ready to help and work with you to make sure you’re confident in your journey. I’ve been here 3 months and I truly enjoy working out now and I enjoy the people and the community CrossFit surmount encourages, everyone is welcome here and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I dropped in while visiting my parents and both the coaches and the owner, Tom, were expecting me and were so welcoming! I have a shoulder injury and hate dropping in and immediately needing a ton of modifications but the Surmount crew was so accommodating. The coaches REALLY coach you and offered great feedback throughout on my technique that I’ve never been corrected on before. So many members introduced themselves and made me feel like part of the crew. It’s truly one of the best drop in experiences I’ve had - can’t wait to go back next time in I’m town!

Welcomed with smiling faces, community feel, and clean facilities. The coaches were both encouraging you to work hard, while maintaining safety and clear direction amongst the class. I loved how easy it was to scale the workout to exactly what I needed today?

I have to admit I did not see myself ever joining a crossfit gym, but I didn't feel I was getting the workout I needed at my old gym. I decided to give Crossfit Surmount a try after a long conversation with a friend who is one of the coaches. The first thing I noticed is how attentive the coaches are. They pay attention to your every movement to make sure you are doing things correctly. They push you when you need pushing and tell you to lighten up if that is what is needed. The coaches are by far the biggest selling point for me. They are all amazing. I am 5 months in now and have never felt this good and this strong since I played Rugby. Very welcoming atmosphere from both coaches as well as members. My only disappointment is that I wish I had found this years ago.

Amazing coach, community and location!I’m visiting from the Bay Area and dropped into the gym a few times. The coach (Donna?) was welcoming, provided a tour, encouraging during the WOD, giving specific technique queues that were helpful and shared positive feedback after the WOD. I had a great time!I would Totally recommend visiting in if you’re in the area.

All the coaches are so nice and welcoming. But the best part is their knowledge base, how to lift properly, they will politely correct your form if it falters. They have a great rotation of workouts so you truly get a full body workout. They have created a great atmosphere to work hard, have fun and get strong ?

Been at it since January and it is an amazing experience, such a fun group of exciting and amazing people from the owner, to the coaches and members. The CF community is awesome along with getting in a hard hitting workout. This experience is unlike any other, along with all ages are welcome!
