5 months in, continue to love this place. Location is great, but what's more important and nicer is how much effort the staff and management take to make this an excellent place to live. The staff is very helpful, maintenance staff is very responsive. They have good community events every couple weeks which is a good way to socialize with the people staying here. Never regretted a single day picking this place. Oh, and get the right apartment and you will see fall colors everyday. It's perfect

I have been living at The Mitchell for over a year now and it has been one of the nicest apartments I have ever lived in. The amenities are beautiful and well-kept - it is like living in a resort. The leasing office is always so helpful and accommodating. If there is ever an issue, maintenance is quick to address it. Would recommend this building to anyone looking in the White Plains area!

I currently pay about $10K for a two-bedroom apartment in downtown Brooklyn. When I signed my lease and toured my current apartment, I didn’t have to go through the extensive verification process that this place requires. They ask you to go through a whole process through an web app before even touring the apartment, including uploading your ID. My luxury apartment in downtown Brooklyn doesn’t do this. It’s absurd that they won’t allow a tour if you don’t have your ID. My wife didn’t bring hers because she’s not the one driving. They asked her to sit out the tour lol. We dodged a bullet with this one. If you’re going to enforce these rules, make sure to communicate them clearly before we make the trip from downtown Brooklyn. The leasing office is trying too hard to seem luxurious when the rent is 1/3 of what we pay in dtbk. It’s always the average apartments that go overboard with their policies. It’s almost funny.

Overall, The Mitchell offers a superb living experience with minor drawbacks. Highly recommended!
**Rating: 4.8/5**
I've moved over ten times in the past seven years, and having lived at The Mitchell for nearly a year now, I can confidently say this has been one of the best experiences I've had.
The staff here are incredibly friendly and always ready to help. The amenities are always clean, well-maintained, and readily available. The package locker system is efficient—I’ve never had a package lost or stolen. Neighbors are friendly and polite, creating a pleasant community atmosphere.
One of the standout features of The Mitchell is its tranquility. Despite the occasional sounds from neighbors playing an instrument, opening blinds, or being in the hallway, there's no intrusive noise from footsteps above. The apartment layout is thoughtful, with well-planned appliances and space organization. Maintenance is prompt, often addressing issues within a few hours or the same day.
However, there are a couple of cons.
The garage can be tricky and potentially hazardous due to limited space and some drivers' inexperience. Additionally, the garage door often doesn't work. Street noise can be loud, especially on lower levels, but on the 11th floor with windows closed, it's not a problem. Being downtown, some noise and crowds are expected, particularly on weekends, which is a trade-off for the central location.

I have been leaving here for almost 2 years. I was one of the first people to move when they just opened the building and I have to say. I’m happy and satisfied. The location is so convenient, everything is close and walkable distance. They have been improving the issues like the fire alarm at 2-3am. Finally, the pool is open and the area is always clean.

Wow, The Mitchell is a stunning property, and Holly's service was top-tier when we toured it. Holly was extremely knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and helped us envision a new home at the Mitchell. We were sold only 20 minutes into the tour and submitted our applicable promptly afterward. Bravo to the Mitchell team!

Lived here for 3 months now with minimal complaints. The pool is open for the summer; it is clean and there is always a lifeguard. The gyms are great and always clean. No noise heard while in the apartment, just in the hallway (which is normal for MOST complexes). Parking garage is tight and people can drive too fast sometimes, but it is very comparable to a NYC parking garage so I’m not sure why people complain about that. Leasing office is very nice and helpful. Community events are fun. Majority of the residents here are very happy in my opinion, people taking the time to post these 1 star reviews shouldn’t have moved to a city on the main strip with bars and loud noise.

We don't even live here but I have to write a review - we have tried several times in the past month to just get a tour of the apartments as our current lease is ending. We were told to write down our information and someone would get back to us, but they never did. This last time we walked in, we were shooed away again, claiming that they probably haven't reached out because there are no 2 bedroom apartments available. But there are several listed as available on their website... Based on the other reviews, I'm guessing we dodged a bullet anyway, but we will no longer be trying to rent here as apparently you need to sign a lease site unseen.

The Mitchell in White Plains, NY, is a nightmare. The parking garage is dangerously small, making it nearly impossible to park a normal-sized car without risking damage. The pool has been closed for almost three years with no updates on when it will open. The fire alarm frequently goes off at 3 AM due to false alarms, which is a major concern because if there is a real fire, no one will take it seriously. I don't live there but visit yearly, and each time, the alarm has sounded at 3 AM. The dog park is filthy and rarely sanitized, leading to a giardia outbreak among the dogs. This building is grossly mismanaged, which is unacceptable for a luxury building. Avoid The Mitchell at all costs.

Horrible experience. I was doing a delivery and the guard almost had a physical fight with another delivery person.

DO NOT COME LIVE HERE. Worst experience I've ever had. I do not even know where to begin with. I reinforce all complaints from other feedbacks. I had problems with someone trespassing into my apartment, I requested access to the cameras and nothing was done, they simply blamed it on me, saying I left my door unlocked. If it was a neighbor who entered the wrong house, the person didn't even apologize, I was in the apartment and I was really scared. It's not a safe place to live. Impossible to contact the management team, they don't answer the phone and don't respond to emails. The walls are made of paper, I can hear my neighbor sneeze, walk and also opens and closes the shutter. It's not worth the price we paid.

Elevator #1 in building 2 is out for about the 17th time this month. Please fix, sheer craziness how they break on pretty much a daily basis

Please fix the elevators. To have them breaking almost every day is unacceptable. They also refuse to get someone who knows how to fix elevators there and keep sending the same clueless fools up there every time. They are so badly understaffed that when you call the office there no one ever answers as they refuse to hire enough people to answer calls in a timely matter. Worst customer service you can ever find.
