My wife and I lived at 15 Lake for two years. In hindsight, we were quite impressed.
Initially, we balked at the price of our apartment for the space we were renting; however, we got to meet some of the tenants, who told us quite candidly that this building was a nice place to live with nice people and good management. We agree. Additionally, when we renewed our lease, DeRosa raised our rent by only 2%; meaning that given the rising inflation, we were essentially paying less in Year 2!
The access to Turnure Park across the street was a lovely way to unwind after work/school. The cherry blossoms in the spring are positively stunning. My only regret is missing the festival that apparently never returned to the park, but I obviously do not blame DeRosa for that.
The inside of our building was pleasant, air conditioned, and quiet. Most importantly, it was clean. The only vermin issue we had in the two years living in our apartment was a single mouse, which was promptly taken care of. Otherwise, aside from the occasional spider, we lived without fear of infestation.
There were, however, two issues to consider. First, the laundry room. The price of doing laundry was rather high and the machines were not always operable. These conditions made for some frustrating laundry days.
Second, the elevator. In our final months living in our building, we found the inoperability of the elevator to be immensely frustrating. Moving out of our apartment was a difficult task; pushing the button for the ground floor did not guarantee that it would go to the ground floor, or any floor at all. In fact, none of the buttons worked as intended, and so we would often go on elevator rides of indefinite duration.
That said, we enjoyed our stay and would generally recommend renting here. The management company is responsive to work orders; the buildings are kept clean, cool, and quiet; and the rent is quite agreeable, especially for White Plains.

The landlord is very kind and attentive. All the staff are friendly and very quick to solve problems if they arise. A nice place to live

Once has great hot water, now it’s luke warm… and parking needs to be enforced in the garage- couple of cars near me are crooked causing me to park closed to the wall - can’t get out comfortably. Other than that , all good!

The place i lived in, 7LS is haunted. I had two tenants below me who harassed me. My second week. Beware if you hear stomping from one of the tenants. Everything was fine after the building said I was being harassed when I complained. But unfortunately, after a year, I was harassed again. If anyone lived in this apartment and went through the same thing, please message me. The people are relatively nice people. My neighbor across from me was very nice. But the tenants below me were horrors. - sorry for the bad review. But people have to know.

Worst. Don’t stay in the Lake St apt. Elevator keep breaking and De Rosa never reply on time or fix the issue. If there was zero star then I would have given them. Won’t recommend them to anyone after the horrible services

I feel safe here, the building is secure. Issues when moving in and maintenance have usually responded within 2 days, if not sooner. Neighbors are nice

Can't say enough good things about De Rosa Builders!! The building is in a great location walk to everything in downtown White Plains! Beautifully maintained, the staff is super helpful, always ready with a solution to whatever situation may arise. My apartment is gorgeous with spectacular views of the beautiful sunrise. I highly recommend this complex- Great place to call your next home!!
