This place was very dirty!Cobwebs everywhere.Dust balls under the bed.Dust on the shelves in the closets.The couches were absolutely filthy.Beds had all the springs coming out.Even the bbq and deck were not even cleaned.They did the bare minimum for cleanliness.They also lied about how many bedrooms there were. A loft or a pull out couch is not a bedroom.For the amount charged for the accommodations, you would think the management would do some upgrades or proper housekeeping.The only positive was the location.

Great place to stay. Close to main entertainment places. Has a lot of privacy as well. Clean and well equipped with all-you-need pots and pans. Just returned from a trip to Watkins Glen and stayed at the Madison Guest House. Great experience. Owner is very nice, friendly and responsive. The location is great a with a 2 block walk to the hiking trails. Easy downtown rock. Parking was easy. Property is nice with everything you need. Could not have been happier with our stay. I highly recommend this property and the owner.

The Madison Guest House gave my wife and I a great way to experience Watkins Glen. The house was clean and comfortable, and was only a short distance away from the downtown shops and restaurants. It was also right near the hiking trails and waterfalls of the State Park. Overall, an excellent experience!

Travis' place was in a perfect location. We were able to walk to everything which was really convenient. The house is located right in town but off of the main street which made parking easy. Plenty of room and I highly recommend it.

The Madison house was lovely... we truly enjoyed our stay! Our host ,Travis, made sure we had all of the essentials , including breakfast!... the location is perfect, a quick walk or a short drive to literally everything you could want.. hiking , kayaking, great food great drinks etc.. the town of Watkins Glen has a little bit of everything and the people are so hospitable, we look forward to visiting again!!!

The Madison Guest House has everything you need for a stay in Watkins Glen! plenty of sleeping space, and room to be comfortable. We stayed here twice and arrived to breakfast essentials in the fridge each time! As far as location, it can't be beat! Less than a 5 minute drive from Watkins Glen State Park and even closer to tons of cute little resturants, ice cream shops, and a donut place! If we ever get lucky enough to return to Watkins Glen, this is 100% where we will stay! Thanks for being such a great host, Travis!!

I stayed here with my partner for a long weekend towards the end of October and it was a lovely place to stay. The location is right off the main strip in Watkins Glen. We did a wine tour through Experience Finger Lakes, which picked us up at the hotel in town (about a 5-10 minute walk from the Madison Guest House), which we loved too. Travis keeps the house very clean and was even kind enough to leave us a few fresh things in the fridge for our stay (creamer, OJ, etc.). There's a washer and dryer on premise, which is helpful if you're doing a longer stay. The Watkins Glen state park was only a 10 minute walk away which has a few shorter, easier hikes as well.Watkins Glen was a bit quiet as we went after the season was over so I can't comment what it's like during the peak spring/summer months, and we're still in a pandemic. That said, people in Watkins Glen and Ithaca (where we visited a couple times) appeared to be good with social distancing mask wearing.

The Madison North house had everything I needed for a comfortable stay in Watkins Glen. I spent a few days in town with friends, and I was looking for a place in the area that was close to a little bit of everything for our adventurous group. Madison North is near N. Franklin St. - a main street - with shops and restaurants within walking distance to the house, Watkins Glen State Park (with amazing hiking paths and views of numerous waterfalls) which is ALSO within walking distance from the house, and vineyards on both sides of the Seneca Lake wine trail. We enjoyed this home, which has a fully stocked kitchen with continental breakfast items provided for guests, multiple bedrooms, and 2 full bathrooms (which worked well with having 3 men and 2 women sharing 1 house - there was always an open bathroom!). The side porch has a nice fire pit, which was a pleasant surprise, and thoroughly enjoyed our last night there! Travis is a very friendly, attentive, and responsive host, who answered all my thousands of questions and offered great recommendations for places to eat, drink, and visit in town. I am so so glad that my first visit to the Finger Lakes was spent here. Madison North is a really great value compared to other listings in the area, is very warm, comfortable, and super convenient, and located on a nice quiet street. I would 100% recommend this home to anyone that likes the genuine feel of being "home away from home", but also wants to be in the middle of everything you could possible need on a dream vacation. 5 stars; thank you so much, Travis!

Check-in was very easy. Travis was extremely responsive which made booking a breeze. The place was perfect for my dog: hardwood and tile floors, plenty of space for her pen and crate, and easy access to outside to walk her with trashcans on the way in. It was also extremely clean. Laundry, main floor half bath, coffee/breakfast items, and towels/sheets provided were all very convenient. This home is very thoughtfully and beautifully renovated and updated with lovely country touches and tasteful decor. Recommend!

We had a great stay at Madison guest house. The location can’t be beat as we were able to walk to the gorge trail and plenty of restaurants. We also spent an afternoon visiting wineries which were all 25 minutes or less drive. The place is clean and for 90 plus degree weather has plenty of air conditioners to keep it comfortable.Travis was easy to reach if we had any questions.Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.
