Nice clean room, awesome mid century decor, comfy bed and great location! Breakfast was excellent had the Eggs Benedict and home fries. We were lucky enough to rent an igloo dome which was really cool! Would definitely stay here again the view of the lake is stunning.

We decided to go to the Grill for a nice dinner, our server was so lovely. She was attentive and kind and did a wonderful job all around. The food was fantastic, the view is stunning.
However, during my meal I sat and listened to the older woman working, perhaps a manager or something to that affect, who was getting into a heated political debate with our younger female waitress. Telling her that her rights don't matter and she doesn't care because her nyseg bill will be cut in half. Seeing the younger girl distraught honestly bothered me.
From a professional standpoint a manager should never speak on anything political with their employees, and especially not in front of customers. The entire interaction was entirely unprofessional to the point where I hope the waitress finds a job that views her as a human. As lovely as the experience could have potentially been, I myself won't be back and also will be warning people of the things they could be overhearing during their dinner. Shame on that manager, and shame on the business for allowing someone like that to hold a position of power over people they don't care about. Honestly shocked and disgusted.

First visit to the Finger Lakes, chose to splurge based on the location just outside of town and the views.
Pleasant mid-century motel, recently renovated. Room was very clean and comfortable, although bed was a bit soft for me. Shower temp was a bit finicky and there's no vent fan so things got a bit steamy (and not in a good way!). Not a fan of the open shower, no way to avoid splashing water onto the floor.
They only provide housekeeping as requested, which I've actually come to prefer since the pandemic. Manager was excellent, friendly and helpful.
Despite being on the main road out of town, not too much traffic or noise. Lovely view of the lake. Would consider staying there again.
Walkability: Just North of town, not walkable.

This hotel is in a great location if you are visiting Watkins Glen State Park. We had a beautiful lake view from our balcony and there is a nice deck area with seating and firepits. The room itself felt old and smelled musty. The carpet was stained and the mattress/bedding could use an upgrade. There was no option for breakfast while we were there as the restaurant was not open. It was fine for a night but would probably look at other options is staying longer.

My husband and I stayed here the weekend of the NASCAR race in Watkins Glen. He races in the xfinity series so while here, we wanted somewhere comfortable and close by the track. This hotel was all that and more! Between the views, and the wonderful service, we could not have been more impressed!

This could be a great hotel... but at $250/night it's unacceptable to arrive to a room that's dirty from the previous guest and the manager admit she'd been lazy and hadn't completed the cleaning for room #116.
The water pressure in the shower was great... but the shower's glass partition was completely useless at keeping water inside the shower... AND the bathroom didn't have ANY ventilation.
The biggest issue was the mattress... it was absolutely AWFUL and impossible to sleep well on. It was like an industrial prison mattress... crappy foam wrapped in extra thick vinyl... UNAVAILABLE at $250/night! ???
IF this hotel would up its attention to details AND customer service... this would be a great option. The location and views were great!

If you are looking for a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a drink with a fabulous view, great service, and a unique menu the Grill is your location. New Chef is putting his own touches on the entrees and dessert...looking forward to our return visit.

I was so excited to stay at Laurel Inn because of the lake views. Their website also said that they have PRIVATE BALCONIES. But only some of the rooms have private balconies and that was not made clear on the website. When we got to room 101 (double queen) we realized that the balcony was not private and we shared the space with the other rooms. Because the balcony is also a walkway we have to close the drapes so that people aren’t looking in, which means no lake views. It also overlooks a parking lot. Had I known this beforehand, I would have called to make sure we got a room with a private balcony or even paid more for one. Unfortunately the whole hotel was booked for the holiday weekend and the front desk couldn’t move us. We paid $502 for two nights. The front desk said that they are going to make it clear which rooms have a private balcony in the future.
Room had a cobweb and one bed has a small stain on the sheet.
The rooms have been refurbished but the structure is showing its age.
Great views of the lake.

This was a little gem of a hotel/motel. The room was great and well equipped and you couldn’t ask for a more picturesque view from the balcony. There’s a great deck in between the two buildings with Adirondack chairs and fire pits. It was the perfect spot to sit back with a bottle of wine during “golden hour” and watch the schooner and other boats glide around in the lake. Even caught a glimpse of a fox running through the field below. With only a quick 3-4 minute (if that?) drive into town, it was a perfect home base for exploring Watkins Glen and the finger lakes.
Rooms: Clean, well equipped, and great views from the balcony.
Nearby activities: Hiking and Exploring Watkins Glen, Robert Treman State Park, and Buttermilk falls are all nearby

Clean rooms, nice view. However the hotel itself is a lie. Was told from their website that my room had a balcony which is why I paid what I paid. Upon arrival I'm told my room does not have one, and "idk why it says that" cancelation is not allowed and you will be charged regardless. Don't even bother trying to contact them via any of their 3 email addresses, because none of them work.

Cute little hotel with awesome lakeside views. Rooms are small but well kept. We stayed here for 4 nights in August. Loved the short drive into Watkins Glen. We ate dinner in their restaurant one night which was quite good. There’s an awesome patio offering fire rings overlooking the lake which is a fun way to enjoy the evening. If you’re staying in the Finger Lakes region and looking for a reasonably priced place to stay, definitely check it out.

Beautiful views and rooms were very clean. Peaceful and romantic. They have a bar and restaurant, but I did not visit that part of the hotel.
Rooms: Clean and open.
Updated with amenities like USB chargers and a nice fridge.
Bathroom was clean and a nice shower.
