hii , i started coming here recently by recommendation of my older brother, the men who work here a very sweet they have a wonderful collection of video games and merchandise from retro - modern media , even niche interests youll find something to your liking , you can call and ask what they have in stock prior too and they're very helpful with it , ive started coming here weekly and would recommend this to any fan of video games and they also carry other stuff like manga , comic and even some metal media and just generally "nerdy" stuff i suppose but very very very great , and the pricing is understandable and very affordable even comparatively to online retro sellers and ebay etc , summary wise go here very lovely and splendid ?

Wow, another gem! This is more than a video game store... It should be rebranded to something like Vortex Toys, Collectibles and Video Games! A MUST STOP if you are in the area. Great prices too!

A great place to go to get your retro video games! Owner was very polite and was able to locate a Nintendo DS game that no one else had in the area. Store is very organized as well. Definitely recommend!

Vortex Video Games is an amazing game store with an awesome selection of new and old video games and toys! I make the trip out to Albany solely to visit Vortex, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If you’re in Albany and love retro gaming consider making the trek out to Vortex Video Games!

I just got into retro gaming over the weekend and checked this place out last night. It was amazing! The selection and the way we were treated in terms of helpfulness and pricing is unmatched. Will absolutely be coming back for more gaming needs!

The absolute best retro game store in the area by FAR, no contest. Extremely fair pricing with lots of game variety. Not to mention the extremely kind and helpful owner. I bought a sega dreamcast there today and it had issues reading discs when I got home, so i came back and got a completely new console, copy of the game i bought, and a second controller as a freebie. You will not find a spot in the area that's kinder and priced better, I highly recommend :0)
