I went to shop at BJs today to renew my membership and to see if I can get 2 pairs of eyeglasses repaired. An employee by the name of Kayla helped me with my membership renewal. She was very proficient and personable. After that I went to the optical department where an Eric Jackson was working. Eric was also very proficient and personable. Eric repaired both pairs of glasses and would not accept money for the labor and said he was happy to help. After shopping I went to the cashier to check out and at this point it was Kayla at the register - cashier # 464951. Kayla took the time to scan my products for sale prices and took the time to show me how to do it myself using my cellphone. I've been a member of BJs for years and today was my best shopping experience ever. Eric and Kayla were terrific and definitely assets to your company.

So yesterday the NYS Supreme Court overturned mask mandates as an illegal infringement of our civil liberties. That being said, I was denied entry into the 'club' I pay to belong to because corporate offices still mandates face decorations to enter the store. I called store management and spoke with RENEE who refused to give her last name. She rudely gave me the corporate office number. So now the CDC has said cloth face decorations don't work and the State Supreme Court has overturned the governors power grab but BJ's is still mandates flawed science and restrictions on civil liberties. I was on hold with corporate offices for 20 minutes, given the company boiler plate and referred to an email address to get more questions answered. This is appalling to be treated like this as a paying member of the 'club'. You got the last of my money, I can tell you that much.

I started ordering online to keep my visits shorter. I picked up my 4th order today. I always check coupons, but today I checked the total amount billed. All coupons were posted and deducted, tax added, but the amount was wrong! I checked this 5 times, different ways. Math is not subjective. Add the price of items, subtract coupons, add tax equals amount of bill! I was charged a few dollars more than I should have, with no fees showing. Also, I had digital coupons for 2 items this time that would not post after I added them to my cart. I triple checked these items, the coupons were on my coupon list, but I in the cart was the full price. This problem with digital coupons also happened on previous orders. I chose not to purchase those items. In store shopping, before this chaos, was usually pleasant with very helpful people.

So rude!!! They let me in the door, allowed me to shop the aisles get everything I want just to be told at the register that I need a membership. What a horrible experience for someone who's simply here on business travel. What is most upsetting is that you can simply walk in and invest all the time you want but can't purchase unless you are a member. There are no signs at entry that say membership required as there competitors such as Costco and Sams club. For those coming from out of town don't waste your time here. Funny thing, I go up to a lady that has supervisor on her name tag and ask to speak with a supervisor and she says "hold on let me get you one." Just a note, she wasn't doing anything except for standing at the register. I just walked out at 10:14a today October 1st! Get it together BJ's - wish there was something I can do for them stealing my time as I feel that's theft on its own. We all know time is valuable and I am now going to be going into work empty handed for a celebration as I don't have anytime to go anywhere else considering I spent my time here. HORRIBLE experience!
