AVOID HAVING YOUR BLINDS DONE HERE...the 3rd party store (Blinds for You) that Lowe's has a contract with is absolutely HORRIFIC. Just an overall terrible experience. Took quite some time to get my blinds installed and even then they weren't perfectly measured and I have light coming in from the sides (when the blinds to go consultant told me I wouldn't have any light because I have side panels on my windows). The first agent who came to my house came without a mask and was very annoyed I asked him to remove his shoes or wear booties ( I had new ones to provide!). He somehow measured the windows of 3 rooms in under 5 minutes and took it upon himself to push aside my items that were on top of my dresser with his binder (my glass skincare products). When I called the store to let the manager know about this experience his response was to start yelling at me and say "did you have a mask on". I'm in my own house with my own family...you're worker is the outsider. My mind was blown that someone in sales would think it's appropriate to yell at the customer! I actually had to get corporate involved throughout the whole transaction because it's impossible to deal with the store or the manager. Looking back I truly wish I had canceled my order and gone elsewhere....I would have been spared the headache and had blackout curtains that actually blocked the light. Update: 03/01/2024 Still stand by my negative review. My blinds have start to SPLIT -- contacted Bali was told this was because Lowe's installed them incorrectly and now Lowe's corporate is REFUSING to do right and correct their mistake. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Janet from blinds is very very nasty to customers. Look at the reviews for Blinds for you (Mineola, NY) that's the company Lowe uses for blinds -- horrible ratings.

Helped my son build new house and decision was made to buy Diamond brand cabinets from Lowes.....NEVER AGAIN! Although salesman seemed accommodating, after numerous quality control problems were found with initially delivery, it continued for MONTHS when multiple replacement doors were as faulty as initial order and to this day, has not been resolved. Don't bite for their financing promos...not worth the headaches with substandard merchandise

This stores gone extremely downhill. Seems like it's being run by a bunch of kids. Employees can't be bothered or are outright nasty. Today I ask the guy at the tile desk if they have anymore color brochures for the grout because the rack is empty. He says "do we have color brochures? No". like I just asked a stupid question. Doesn't even bother to check when clearly he didn't even know they gave those out. Why is he in charge of tile? Last time I had an issue the cashier asked me to get a price on a 4x4 because the label was missing. I go to the lumber isle as a woman is pulling the rope across to close the isle. I tell her I need a price for the cashier and she tells me to come back later. She Refuses to get me the price and says I can try and zoom in with my camera from the end of the isle. I tell her nothing is happening right now. There's not even a forklift there. She says she's waiting for one. I asked for the manager and they can't produce one. Who's running this store? I used to see the manager all the time. He was always walking around the store. Clearly he's not working here anymore.

No lengthy review here. Not a fan of Lowes the more i use them for bigger purchases / jobs. In larger scope. It's a nice first-world problem to have. There are people in other countries getting heads chopped off so comparatively my dryer rattling is nothing.

Horrible customer service. Installation botched and total lack of personnel to correct a problem. Everything is re-directed and passed off to another person or department. Correcting over the phone is impossible. Was hung up on 2 during "transfers". Wasted 30+ minutes. Had to leave work and and still waited 20 minutes to speak to someone.

I had a Pergo floor installed by Lowes in Stony Brook. This floor was replacing a floor that was installed by the same Lowes store about 6 years ago. The floor was measured by a Lowes contractor, and paid for then delivered to my residence. When the installers came today to install the floor, before removing the old floor the told me that the floor was uneven and needed to be leveled before they could install the floor. I told them that Lowes had leveled the floor when they installed the first floor, well it turned out that the 1st time Lowes leveled the floor they did a very poor job, and the only way to move forward was to relevel the floor. I called Lowes and they told me that they contracted that out and no longer used that company (Gemini Flooring) and my only option was to pay $1200.00 more for the floor to be leveled again. It seems quite the scam they have going on at Lowes, once they start a job it can cost thousands more than originally quoted. I would advise everyone to stay away from this Store

This Lowe's location always seems to have what I am looking for. Whether it is peat pods for starting the seeds for my garden or a hanging plant for my Mom for Mother's day, this store has good quality items for a reasonable price. I typically don't have to interact with anyone except for the cashier which I have had no issues with. I mostly am able to look around and find things for myself as this store is fairly well organized. The seeds I bought are also already doing well and growing and the hanging plant still looks great. Taken as a whole, this location is clean, organized and worth the visit for a consistent experience.

Went to the Commack store to look for a specific floor tile , they didn't have it so they called another store ; Bayshore store said they had the specific tile we are looking for .They said they did a visual, but we get there and it was the wrong tile. They said that the farmingdale had it. We get there and they only had wall tile, not the floor tile we needed. They told us Stonybrook had it and finally it was there but don't they have computer systems so they know their inventory? I had to go to four stores which is ridiculous! They need to update their systems so they are accurate and this doesn't happen to anyone else, crazy.

Lowe's definitely has a better consumer atmosphere whereas Home Depot is more commercial. The prices are good and the employees are helpful, especially the paint mixers. My only complaint for this location is that the cashiers are incredibly lazy. Numerous times I have had to go back through the store to find an item number instead of them just looking it up.

Worst place to ever go to. Nobody helps you. I was looking for a vacuum and the girl said they have 3 in stock. She randomly walks away without even telling me then comes back saying "oh we don't have any" so I said "you have 3 in stock" and she goes "they must have been bought just now" LMAO are you kidding me? Never coming back to this Lowe's ever again. No wonder why this place has the worst reviews ever. Because you have stupid people working here.

I am regular pro customer. Only this store has terrible service. Asked for help the customer service rep was not even willing walk to the aisle to see what I was talking about. Simply said he couldn't help. Rude. No attention to customers. Don't care at all. Was here 2x same experience both times. Assistant manager is always on the phone. Manager is never in.

Upgrading their review since they did make amends for their delay and got everything done. If not for that experience I would consider the Lowe's a decent place to shop. When the worst of the COVID was over they allowed customers in the store while other stores were forcing customers outside on line. Though the line was long for cashier, they made it so it moved fast. Good garden center too. I am still not keen on using them for projects where parts have to be ordered, which is too bad.

Came here and had a few questions about air conditioners. I asked three different workers and no one could help me. Also they only offer military discount and not law enforcement with all going on, shameful.

Just wanted to share an experience we had recently at Lowe's in Stony Brook. My friend just bought a house in Mastic and we needed a lawnmower. I'm a little older, so I asked my friend if she would consider upgrading to a self-propelled model since I was going to be the one to mow the lawn's. And she agreed. We both went to Lowe's, told the rep in the lawnmower department what we wanted, he put it in our cart ...we paid for it and off we went. It's sat outside for two days until I was able to unpack it. After putting it together I mowed the back 40. I was completely exhausted. I went to the front yard and got a third of the way through and was completely blown. I've never had a lawnmower before, so I didn't know what to expect. I looked underneath the lawnmower to see where the gears were that made it self propelled and there were none. None of the wheels moved on their own. It wasn't until we went online that we found out that they had sold us a push mower. I had already used it but when we called Customer Service, they said we could turn it in for a new one, as long as we emptied the gas, and we did not have to bring the box back fortunately, because the day I unpacked it, they picked up cardboard in our area and the box went out. Went back to the store, easy exchange and they gave me a new one. A photo of the box which I will include will show you how it came. I sent the photo to my friend and when she saw the shape of the box she said, it's used, bring it back. She can be very skeptical and I can be very trusting. I brought the box home and two days later again opened it up to put it together. We first noticed there was no oil bag in the box. She said it was used. I took it out of the box and on the bottom there was what looked like an oil stain on the bottom of the box. She said it was used. I said you just don't trust anyone, do you? She said pull out the dipstick, and there was oil on it. While she was on the phone with Customer Service I said to myself, let me at least smell the gas tank that way I'll know if it was used because you can't get rid of the smell of gas. And I open the gas cap and stuck my nose into a FULL TANK OF GASOLINE!! Needless to say, she was right, and I was wrong. I drove all the way home with a re-purposed lawnmower that they sold me as NEW AND AT FULL PRICE, with a full tank of gas, and then back to the store again with a full tank of gas. I didn't empty it when I returned it because I wanted them to see that it was FULL.!! NO manager came to the front even though I saw the rep on the phone kind of talking so I couldn't hear her, and a young man came to take the one I had and exchange it for another. As he walked away I called him back and said, make sure you bring me a brand new one that's not wrapped up in packing tape!!! He did, I brought it home, and at the moment it seems to work fine. And it was brand new. That being said, I will never shop at Lowe's again. I will be a Home Depot customer for life and I will tell everyone who wants to know about my experience there. Very disappointed, and just wanted to share this with everyone who could read it! Lowe's blows!!

i ordered an item online to be delivered to the store. There was no tracking info on the website.. I called the store. THEY DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE. i went through EVERY dept phone number and no one answered . I then called the toll free number- ON HOLD 45 minutes. I was told item would be available for pickup in a few days. Went back for pickup of the item, what a joke. In the store, they are unable to help you because they cant locate your order. They recommend YOU go home and call the toll free number (and wait another 45 min). absolutely unbelievable. RUN TO HOME DEPOT!!!
