UPDATE: Someone from Uncle G corporate office reached out to me about this situation and they were very apologetic. They took full responsibility. They refunded my credit card for my catering order, they gave me a credit for a future catering order and also a gift card to use at the store. Even though I will never get that time back for waiting all those hours and delaying my time with family and friends, They did right by me and I am hoping they did right with everyone else. Thank you Uncle G'sIf I could give 0 stars I would. First off Picking up my catering order today was disastrous. I had an 11:00 pick up time and didn’t get my ONE half tray until 2pm. My kids and I took turns waiting. Absolutely ridiculous. It was a complete and utter disaster. There was no system. It was total chaos. The final straw was when I opened my tray of mussels they were BAD!! They smelt terrible. We couldn’t even eat them. It was to late to call anyone since they were already closed. I will be disputing my credit card because there is no way in hell I am paying for this. Waiting 3 hours AND getting bad food is unacceptable. What an embarrassment. Shame on you Uncle Gs!

Ordered food for pick up on Christmas Eve. We had a 1:30 to 2:00 pick up window... we ended up waiting 2 hours and 45 minutes in the parking lot for our food and then when it came, items were missing. Do not recommend getting any caterer food from this place.

This place is a lot of good things I suppose. The cookie selection is not as good as other places. But they have other things that you can buy as well. There are foods and drinks and meals, but again the cookie selection is not as good as Alpine. But there’s nice stuff.

Order # 201645I placed my order by the deadline of December 19th. My pickup window was 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.. I showed up at 12:15 p.m. and left at 5:00 p.m. empty-handed. I can't determine what went wrong, but there were hundreds of customers that did not get their orders. My order was over $500, and some of the customers I was talking with during the four and a half hours I spent there spent well over $2,000. A lot of these customers' Christmases were ruined. Somehow, I managed to find a local place that had extra trays of food that I was able to pick up to feed my family. I've always had a good experience at Uncle Giuseppe's. I would sincerely love an explanation as to what happened. I understand business, and sometimes bad things happen. The best CEOs in business have always gotten out in front of problems and explained what happened. I think if Uncle Giuseppe's gave a reason for this utter and complete disaster. They could save some of their reputation. The person who took my order was so helpful and wonderful, and I've always had such great experiences with Uncle Giuseppe's. But some of the families that I was spending time with on Christmas Eve are extremely devastated because of this issue. Hope everyone had a great holiday. Order number 201645

Find another place for Christmas Catering. Would not allow me to put less than one star. My scheduled pick-up time was 12 noon. I got there at 11:45 AM to be told by the people who had been there since 10:30 that they Uncle Giuseppe's had not called their name nor brought out their order. Was complete disorganized chaos as if it were their first time doing Christmas Catering orders. No information, just waiting and watching an occasional customer get an order. My order was small, half a tray of crab cakes, so I was able to go in the store and get the order filled for $21 less than catering charged me. I spoke to a manager and they refunded my credit card the Uncle Giuseppe Catering Department price of $141 for half a tray of crab cakes. I paid $120 at the register for crab cakes I got from the Fish counter. The whole ordeal at Uncle Giuseppe took me an hour. I got off much better than others. Checking my bank account this morning and Uncle Giuseppe charged my debit card for the crab cakes twice; the $120 price from the Uncle Giuseppe register and $141 for the Uncle Giuseppe Catering. Thy were the same crab cakes. The crab cakes were good as always but this episode with Uncle Giuseppe was really disappointing and stunning and will effect my shopping there going forward. Was incredibly surprised and very disappointed.

Smithtown store FANTASTIC! Always good food, either groceries or catering. Employees are A+++ Had an issue receiving wrong tray of seafood for Christmas Eve. Within an hour all corrected and they even delivered. VERY satisfied customer. Will definitely be back! Impressed!

ZERO stars for the holiday catering pick up. My family has been taking turns waiting for over 2 HOURS for a HALF A TRAY OF MUSSELS. It's 1:30pm and we still haven't gotten them. For the price Uncle G's charges this is unacceptable. No system and complete chaos. People have been waiting over 2-3 hours to get their food. I spoke with some woman who waited 2 hours for a small shrimp platter. Horrendous. Never again will my family be catering from Uncle G's. We spoke with Marianne in catering and she was useless and didn't want to deal with our concerns. There are far better places to cater from with better customer service. Two hours for HALF a tray of mussels. Give me a break. Here one does NOT eat well.

Had to get a pre made turkey dinner, which was fine. The only bad thing with this turkey meal was the gravy ! Tasty but so salty!!!! I couldn't eat the turkey due to how salty the gravy made it! Really ! Not everyone can have salt or likes salt! You can add it in but can't take out! . Their wedding soup is gross! Weird taste. I shop in your store couple times a week. Very disappointed! Have to look for better places!

There goes my paycheck! So many items I can't find in Queens/Brooklyn stores! If prices go down on the olive bar & pickles, I may need a dedicated fridge just for this stores goodies! Huge artichokes too!!

Nice precooked food and butcher. But they do not know how to prepare for a sale; certainly not Massapequa. Anniversary Sale NT Strip Steaks; Out Of Stock. Rotisserie Chicken; Out Of Stock with 1/2 hour lines way down the pickle aisle. Customer "Service" kept saying "they will be out in 5 minutes"; in 20 minutes they came up with 6 chickens for the 20 odd waiting in line and the wait would continue. Not me; I did not bring a chair. Refused to give rainchecks. The Manager had no clue as to what was going on; and I truly believe him. He definitely did not have a clue. They could have something nicer to us. Now I have a bad taste in my mouth for any of the non-sale items. They need a clean sweep here.

What a store !!! They have everything including the kitchen sink. I went on a Saturday Morning (my maiden voyage)It was packed. I purchased stuffed pork loin , broccoli Rabe, chicken sausage, chicken , veal and pork cutlets , peppers .Cold cuts , pastries ( the cannoli biscotti , and cannoli ) were perfection.Definitely going back this week.The only thing that I did not enjoy was the man in produce singing very loudly, "Come fly with me "Great job, Uncle Guiseppe Bravo ?

I cannot say enough about this market place. Shopping there is always a great experience. Well managed, great staff, and always well stocked with amazing choices of food. Great entertainment too! Good people listen, it is well worth the money and time. I only wish they had more locations here on Long Island. Cheers to the staff and management!!!!!

Let me start by saying I absolutely love Uncle Giuseppe's. However, I went to the Smithtown store and the woman at the checkout was rude. I've never experienced that in this store and have been to several different locations. I was very disappointed by the treatment received and will probably avoid this location in the future.
