My neighbor took his wife car to them because the transmission was slipping and after charging him $100 for a “diagnostic†(that they never show him) they told him that it was going to cost $3,000 because he needed a new transmission??? And guess what we fixed with $20 the transmission only needed 2 quarts of oil. I can't believe that some “professionals†can be so cold hearted she spent days crying because she was going to loose her job for no transportation and she couldn't afford to pay $3,000 to get it fix. Some people forget that there's a GOD a high power looking down at us and everything we do we will pay for it.

my 2006 chrysler 300c would go into limp mode at any time,brought it to many shops in smithtown,no one could fix it. a friend of my said to try delta and boy was he right,after careful diagnosis, used computer was lnstalled and the car is running perfect. lf it wasnt for john i would of had to junk the car. delta is the best.

NEVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!! This guy is a total scam artist!!!!!! I was referred to this shop by a family friend and it has been a total NIGHTMARE!! Even my aunt, the one who referred me, refuses to go here anymore because of the way the owner treats the customers. IVE HAD TO BRING MY CAR BACK TO HIM FIVE TIMES BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION IS STILL NOT FIXED PROPERLY!!!!! And the shop owner John is a total jerk and acts like he's doing me a favor by fixing my car. This has been going on for MONTHS now. AFTER HE REBUILT THE TRANSMISSION IT STARTED LEAKING TRANSMISSION FLUID ALL OVER MY DRIVEWAY SO I BROUGHT IT BACK TO HIM AND HE CHARGED ME $400 EVEN THOUGH IT WAS UNDER A "WARRANTY". I brought my car to Delta on Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown to have the transmission rebuilt in Fall 2014 (today is August 20,2015 and still not fixed) So I pick up my car ten days after dropping it off (this is a CRAZY long time to rebuild a tranny but whatever) and as I'm driving away the car violently jerks into each gear and my check engine light goes on. I bring it back to him and he said it just needed a little adjustment (I left my car with him for another two days). When I came back to pick it up again he said they were closing and he would leave my keys in the car. I pick it up again, and as I'm driving away it does the SAME THING. I call him again the next day and this is when he starts giving me an attitude. He was complaining that they were really busy and he doesn't have time to fix my car for another two weeks. So I drop my car off in two weeks (I'm without a car for another two days) and when I pick it up it seemed fine. No check engine light and tranny seemed smooth. After driving for ten minutes the car starts jerking into each gear and check engine light goes on again. GRRRRR. So I call John at Delta Transmissions on Jericho and ask what is going on. He says he doesn't know what happened and he will need the car back. BUT he's really busy and it may take a few days. NOW while I'm waiting for this shop to have time to fix their mistake, I notice transmission oil all over my driveway!!!!! I call him and he said he'll take care of it next time I bring my car in and he said to keep putting oil in it so it doesn't run dry. I BRING MY CAR BACK TO HIM AND HE TELLS ME THE PART THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY AND IT WILL COST $400!!! At this point I was just done with this guy and his garbage work so I paid and went on my way. AS IM DRIVING AWAY GUESS WHAT HAPPENS!?!? YEP, THE CAR VIOLENTLY JERKS INTO GEAR AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GOES ON. . . AGAIN. I've asked around about this shop and EVERYONE tells me stay away. Wish I knew sooner ZERO STARS FOR DELTA TRANSMISSIONS ON JERICHO TPK.
