I called as a new patient appointment and needed to be seen the same day. My puppy was in the ER Vet over the weekend and still wasn’t doing good. I don’t know the receptionist name but she was so kind and compassionate on the phone and got me in within the hour. The Dr and nurse Stephanie were soooo amazing and Dr went and listened to me tell him what was going on. He immediately had a game plan and she was medicated and I was sent home with medication as well. We are now making this our new vet. Each and every person we came in contact with was just wonderful. They understood the situation and we were treated with such compassion and kindness. I highly recommend them.

The doctors both father and son are amazing. We moved here in 2019 and they take good care of our dogs.
Update: September 2024
This practice continues to be exceptional. The father / son duo are both experienced, knowledgeable and most importantly compassionate. Almost five years and our dogs appreciate the team at Roosevelt. Everyone from the front desk to the medical assistants. 10/10.

Nothing but the best things to say about Dr. Chris & the crew at Roosevelt…. compassionate, knowledgeable, and attentive care every visit. First started coming to the practice with my cat who was newly diagnosed with diabetes. Dr. Chris was very thorough and properly educated us on the tough diagnosis and insulin administration. He took the time to listen and answer all our questions. Recently, we took in a kitten who has had a rough start to life. We have been at the office every other week with a new issue. Each visit he has immediately identified the problem and provided us with honest, compassionate care/solutions. All the girls are just fantastic too… Best practice in the area!

I have had vets in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Port Jeff. All of them great! Some excelled in one area some another. But all of them were compassionate and caring and ran wonderful practices. Roosevelt Animal Hospital is, in my humble opinion, divinely inspired! They have experience, compassion, kindness, dedication to animal welfare, practicality... This list could go on and on. They treat you and your animals as members of their own family. They explain everything. Their only goal is compassionate treatment of your beloved family member. I have only been with this practice for less than a year. My elderly Chihuahua is the last of my brood and I am very protective. They have given him time and comfort. And for me, they have given me time and comfort. They have always gotten me in when I have needed to get in emergently. They are not trying to make a bunch of money at the expense of your pet. They practice cutting edge veterinarian medicine with old school values and common sense. Roosevelt Animal Hospital is the GOAT of Veterinarian Medicine! I will be forever grateful that I found them!

I really cannot say enough good things about this place. A different vet right across the highway was extremely rude and judgmental about my poorly bred rescue dogs anxiety, that I’m working very hard on with a professional trainer and daily medication. That place wouldn’t evaluate him with out a heavy sedative (which I did let them do because I figured they knew what’s best). But since finding this vet from our trainer a few months ago, I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. They are amazing with my 8 month old boy and the doctor said my dogs fine and there is no need to sedate him. very honest people who really care about animals. Also super affordable which is a great plus! Will recommend them to everyone I know. Thanks for helping Reaper and I! ?

Amazing team of vets for my pug for 15 of his 16 years with us. They are always honest and straightforward. They were supportive and always took my phone calls during this rough past year. They were kind and empathetic when it was time to say goodbye to our little guy last month. Forever grateful for Dr. Z and the team ?. RIP Brady 12/13/07-11/21/23
