I chose to lease at The Mariner because of the highly curated living experience residents enjoy. The location is a stone’s throw from a great local food and water scene while also conveniently tucked away in Port Chester just a short drive from Greenwich, Rye, White Plains, etc. Many of the units with a southern exposure bask in sunlight. And the building has everything I hold important: lounge, gym, concierge, Amazon hub, and EV charging. My apartment search was complicated by navigating steep barriers of a new job and relocating while a continent away. Kathy Loucks was a veritable miracle worker in this regard with her tireless ethic and unimpeachable devotion. I was able to get a great sense of the place, the amenities, and the neighborhood even from a virtual tour. I would not have been able to negotiate the challenges I faced on top of the usual stress of moving without her brokering on my behalf. If it is possible she will part the seas and move mountains for you. I am so looking forward to coming home to the community at The Mariner!

Kathy Loukes did a great job finding us an apartment and following up after with contact information for the new building.

I really like the vibe of the buildingThe high ceilings, the amenities, the details in everything. My experience was excellent starting from the walk through that I had. Kathy was so helpful, friendly and made me feel that she was there to help me find the best fit for what I needed and expected in my apartment. She was on top of everything to make this process as smooth as possible and fast. I am very happy I will move in to The Mariner.

have lived at The Mariner for many years and up until the new owners, Amber management, took over two years ago, this building was a gem. Everything about this building was beautiful and special not only because of the location which happens to be in front of the water but also because it was so well maintained . The new owners, who also manage this building, should be reported for mismanagement. Where to even start. Let’s start with the fact that, twice over the past six months there have been notices posted in the building saying that the building has not been properly. Inspected and therefore is uninhabitable. This was posted by con Ed. Also, this once beautifully maintained building is now neglected and rundown and at times not safe to live in. The elevator has broken many times over the past year and countless amount of people have gotten stuck in it. I could go on and on, but my advice is DO NOT MOVE INTO The Mariner.

The Mariner in Port Chester, NY is managed by Amber Property Management but I can say they are far from actually managing the building. The superintendent has to get approval to buy one light bulb at a time from Home Depot, and get a third party handyman to come fix washers, Dryers, other appliances and pretend he fixed them when really they are worn out and need replacing. These are luxury apartments, starting at least $2600 for a 1 bedroom and all the way to the high $3000 for 1.5 or 2 bedrooms. Every single concierge who works at the front desk has trouble getting in touch with Amber for issues and the tenants who have been living here since Bozzuto was management company are all moving out, myself included. If you find out Amber Mgt is managing your rental building, RUN!

Amber Management has been great. The property is well maintained and the staff from the listing agent to the super are epitome of five star customer service. I’ve lived here one month and the entire process and my experience thus far has been outstanding.

Everything we had was great! The New England clam chowder was the best I’ve ever had. Our waitress Kristen was awesome!

The building is now managed by Amber management. The consensus of most residents is that life at the Mariner has diminished significantly. Management is inept, unresponsive and has instituted cost cutting measures that impact residents. For example, the maintenance staff has been cut in half, concierge staff is inconsistent and communication with management is difficult and frustrating.Local construction projects creating noise and congestion are only adding to the diminishment of life at the building. Also, be aware that the “pet friendly” policy results in animal waste fouling common areas and disruptive barking is common. Don’t expect quiet any hour of the day or night.Beware and look carefully before you commit to a lease with this company.

There may well be a mass exodus. Many fellow tenants are talking about doing so. The management company, Amber, is not doing a good job. Standards are way down. Enough so that I don't think they can market themselves as a luxury building.

The Mariner is a pretty building. Nice to have parking on site and it's right next to Bartaco! But my experience was mixed. Some of the neighbors in the building are friendly but many are not. Covid only made that experience worse. My apartment was beautifully appointed. Just right for me but had so many issues. The water is polluted and even with the installation of a filter for my apartment, the water left a residue of sludge in all the faucets. My skin suffered, my hair was breaking and I was always wondering if my dishes were ever truly clean. I also was anxious... always looking for the carpenter beetles crawling all over the ceiling... Some tenants had ants, some had mosquitoes and some had no issues with bugs at all. What's worse is with the new management, the service and care deteriorated. I expected way more at that price point. I have a feeling there will be a mass exodus. 2 stars because of the location and the concierge/doormen/woman. My favorite parts of the Mariner.
