Interesting and unique pieces from local artists and more well know and interesting exhibits. Not very large but just enough to spend a few hours. It was a nice visit with some cool modern art pieces. The only thing I would say is the entry price should be a little lower. It was empty when we arrived which might account for the high entry price. Open only on sat and Sunday with limited hours. It was something different and unique to do on a sat.

It's worth a visit to HV MOCA if you are into contemporary art. It's on the small size and the admission is a bit high priced, but it's an interesting variety of exhibits and the staff is very friendly.

Charging 30 dollars to see 20 pieces feels like a ripoff. The art was pedestrian and contrived. We were there less than 30 minutes. Really sad.

I hated every second in that ugly place.

This museum uses it's juried/open exhibition to increase membership numbers. They require artist submissions to pay for a full membership at the museum on top of a submission fee. It seem unethical to milk struggling artists to increase their membership numbers rather than doing the real work of a museum by finding rich patrons. It's lazy leadership and a sad approach to doing museum business. Don't support museums with this type of practice. You're only hurting local artists by supporting them.

I'm always looking for things to do with my family, and I was so surprised to see what was right here in my backyard! Hudson Valley MOCA is like a mini-MOMA here in Westchester County. I definitely will be coming back.

This place is great if you want to see conceptual art, but not go into the city. They also have their own parking lot, so driving is easy. It's a big warehouse turned museum - not really any particular way to view the works - you kind of meander around. Did the whole thing in around 45 minutes.

HVMOCA is an amazing place to place to get inspiration from. One of my absolute favorite places to go. Went three times last year and would love to go some more. There's something for everyone here. Very cool spot worth checking out especially with the family!

I did a day trip up to Peekskill from Brooklyn with a bunch of friends. Mainly to visit Hudson Valley Museum of Contemporary Art because I heard the new exhibition "How We Live" was spectacular....and it was! I can see this museum and town being on par with Dia Beacon and Storm King! This museum is absolutely amazing...for anyone who likes contemporary art this is the place to visit...they have so many amazing artists on view! I will have to go back a few more times to get the full experience. We got a ton of awesome Instagram photos and will be back for one of their lecture nights!
