I was in the Oneonta area for work and conveniently there was a BJ's very close to my hotel so I decided to run an errand and pick up a few things. It was a smallish bj's with less selection I felt but they still seemed to have all of the staples. This may be due to NY law but the beer / wine offerings were different from other bj's I've been in. There was a basic selection of beer and 4 or 5 varietals of very off brand wine, or maybe it was non alcohol wine, not sure.In any event, good spot to get your shopping done.

Prices are really great at this place. If you have a family, shop here and save a lot.

I love Bj's simply because I feel like a kid in a candy store but for adults. We come here once a month to stock up on food items, pantry items, laundry items, and water. This place is usually packed first thing in the morning but we are able to get everything we need with no issues. Lines are extremely long but don't be discouraged because everyone tends to gravitate towards self checkout and the first couple of registers near it. They are usually concert long but if you wait online closer to the exit you'll leave quicker.

They are thieves and customer service doesn't do their job . They charged my cards twice , I got no confirmation or order number. I called the store multiple times and the corporate office to get back my money . They should be ashame

First and last time I purchase tires at BJ Oneonta NY. I needed all terrain tires for my truck and ordered them at the club. I called to have them installed and the desk clerk at the tire center said their lift was taken out of commission by an inspection service. I ask when will it be repaired? Clerk "don't know" Days? Weeks? Don't know! I suggest they use a hydronic jack. He says can't do that we have company policies. I suggest how about you contract with a local tire company to install the tires? Clerk: you have to speak to management. I spoke to management and got no where. My solution was to drive one and a half hours to Utica BJ'S to get it installed. Guess what he used a floor jack to lift my truck and install. Great service in Utica. A wasted an afternoon after I spent $1,300. The manager of Oneonta gave me a BJ'S $20 gas card which was pathetic. If I were in management I would have paid a local company to install the tires and keep a customer happy. The Utica club said that's what they do if they have equipment failures. Skip Oneonta and go to Utica.

There were a lot of communication errors with this particular center that led to unexpected cancellations, and ultimately, no tires were purchased or installed here.

My daughter just stopped in for help because her exhaust broke. The person behind the counter laughed at her and then refused to help. Like literally laughed at her. If this is the kind of service that you like and how you think your daughter should be treated, then have at it.

I am only giving one star as that is the lowest one can give. What a HORRIBLE store which is part of a HORRIBLE company. Customer Service is clearly NOT a priority at BJs.HELPFUL HINT: Do not go there for propane to fill your tank. It is hit or miss as to whether they have it and they do NOT post it anywhere if they are selling it on any given day. Not on their website nor outside the store. Don't bother calling - they do not answer the phone. Would it be so hard to post the availability of propane on the website to avoid unnecessary trips?Visited Valley Stream on 8/30/20. As NY is still governed by strict Covid-19 Guidelines to keep customers safe, NY Law requires that all employees wear face coverings. When I approached the cashier to make my payment I politely asked her to cover both her mouth and nose with her mask. SHE REFUSED! I asked again and again, SHE REFUSED. I called over a Supervisor who also asked her to cover her nose. Again, she refused until finally, upon the urging of the supervisor, she pulled her face covering up above her nose. She should be FIRED. I tried calling BJs customer service but do not have the time to hold for 54 minutes to speak with someone. However, in case someone from Corporate looks at this (unlikely), it was cashier number 401454.

Purchases a set of tires on a Monday ,the guy working at that time said he was having trouble placing the order and would leave a note for the person working tomm to order them .Against my better judgement i said ok and left. the week passed and i didn't hear anything so i went into the store on the Saturday to see what was up. The person working had no explanation for anything, but said he would place the order now (which i watched him do). He said the tires would be there in 5-7 business days. 1 day Before the 5-7 days i get a phone call saying they ordered my tires that day and it would be 5-7 business days for them to arrive. I explained that i was in the store 6 days ago and watched the person place the order and that the next day would be the 7th business day and the tires should be there by then. The person on the phone said , don't worry about it, worst case scenario two sets of tires will come. I waited another 7 days and heard nothing. So i went into the store to see what was happening. The person working (who was a total dunce) could not find any of the previous orders placed in the computer and said the tired were not there. After going back and forth with the fool for about 10 mins he finally calls the tire depot. According to him the tired were discontinued and i would have to go to customer service to get a refund then order new tires( like i would really give i the opportunity to waste anymore of my time ) So they basically wasted 3 weeks of my time for nothing. I grabbed my receipt and went and got my refund. I will never purchase anything from the particular BJS again!

Firstly, I am used to BJ's locations in Brooklyn. They are trash, so look no further. For years, we have not been able to get items we use on a regular basis in any of the Brooklyn locations. The site will advertise items frequently and claim that in-store pickup is available but when I got to the store, it was never actually there. Basic items like feminine hygiene products, baking goods and basic produce are extremely scarce for some reason, and this has consistently been the case for years now. I have a lot of theories as to why this happens in Brooklyn locations, but that's another story. Fast forward to 7/8/2020, we took the trip to visit the Green Acres mall for day to day essentials. This BJs checked off all of our boxes. They had every item: food and non-food items alike. We were in awe that we found products we used to buy years ago but stopped buying because the BK locations no longer carried them. It was absolutely magical. The kicker of everything was not only did they have all of our needs and wants... they were all significantly cheaper!!! Ex: unsalted butter at a BK location goes for 11.99 but 8.99 at this location. Prego sauce 10ish but 7.99 at the location. I was also excited to see the fruit and produce selection, and bakery items that were well stocked and full of variety. ALSO, The line organization is great. One for cashier and one for self check out. Both lines had employees at the end to direct you. I accidentally waited in the self check out line, but it went so quickly that it didn't bother me to join the cashier line and start over lol, and there were about 10-15 carts ahead of me when I joined. Considering I just wrote a less than positive review for another location and was not going to renew my membership, I'm definitely reconsidering sticking around now thanks to this epic location.

We have never had an issue shopping here until today. We did the senior hours and needed to shop for ourselves plus my 85 year old mother that we are trying to keep out of the stores. Everything was fine until we went to check out and had the pleasure of dealing with a nasty cashier, I sure hope her day got better!

Customer service ineffective. I went to ask about Tide that stated on the app "in-store" I asked someone on the floor where I can find the Tide given that he was packing them away, you would think that was the best person to ask right? Wrong! He didn't know. I went to customer service, they looked in the computer and said the store didn't have any, as I'm online waiting to check out... What do I see? The same Tide both people told me the store didn't have. Such great help these people are.

The bj's at green acres is the worst BJ's ever. I just moved to queens from Long Island. First no parking whatsoever, people even park in the disability ones. No wheelchair or mechanic chair available. I am disabled, i have a cask on, i am on cruches. I went to customer service to get a pass, the lady told me to get at the end of a long line. I told her f there is a line for disabled, she said no. I said i can't stand too long, do u mind helping me quick, she said that she didn't want to get in trouble with the other customers. I was shocked and I asked her get in trouble for helping a disabled?, she said yes and called the next one customer with a bunch of returns! I just left the store, I went all away to Westbury, where I used to shop. First handicap parking was easy, they had regular ones available too. At the door, they asked me for help. They brought a wheelchair to me then took me to customer service where the manager took care of me right away without taking the line. And all that without even saying a word from my previous experience! Do, please don't shop at that ghetto bj's, because it's the worst!!! Go to Westbury where u would have a much better experience!

I like BJ's but this particular one is always overcrowded. Lines are huge and no parking. Visit another one if it's not too far from you.
