What a wildly disappointing experience it was at Outhouse Orchards. A group of my girlfriends and I drove up from NYC to experience the fall foliage, get apples, and enjoy some cider. When we arrived we were told we had to pay $20/person to just enter the farm. The man who took our payment said that the only additional charge was for the apples that we got….wrong. Farms will usually charge you for the apples that you got, but here we had to pay $30 for a small bag. The woman who took our payment also made us verify we were a group of four for the one bag. From the beginning of our day it felt like the staff thought we were trying to swindle them.
When we went to the orchard we only found one patch of trees that had apples left. We could only get one variety of apples even though the signage told us there were 6 varieties. We also passed the corn maze which was $10/person.
When we exited the apple orchard portion a woman stopped our group and forced us to open our bags to search before carrying on and said we look like we would have taken extra apples…we didn’t. We all felt very uncomfortable and attacked by this woman who was genuinely vicious to us.
We then went on the hayride and the man who was “entertainment” seemed severely intoxicated and was making crude, racially coded, and inappropriate jokes with children on board.
After all this we wanted to get some sweet treats. You are not able to get one donut, you had to get 6.
All in all, we dropped a ton of money to be questioned and got very few apples. We will not be going back.

The children had a blast with the bouncy house, giant slide, lasso, bubbles, duck water race and just jumping around the bales of hay. Plenty of pumpkins that the children picked out to bring home. Food was very good and there were many picnic tables. We had a memorable time and pictures from the "Pumpkin House" to remember our day. As we were leaving a group of girls asked if we could give them a ride to the train station and they would pay us. They stated that an Uber brought them but Ubers were not coming to pick them up. Another couple said they were also having trouble getting an Uber. As we exited, I could see why. There was a long line of cars waiting on the road to exit. If you have your own transportation, you will be fine. Beware if you arrive on a beautiful fall weekend day and you need to leave the farm by an Uber.

Great beer selection and plenty of space and activities for the kiddos. Beyond my expectations! Keep up the great work October Festival 2024 first time and will come back!

First of all the line to get in the apple orchard was insane, we paid 175 dollars. I wish I could give this place 0 star, after paying that price to enter we had to buy 2 bags for 45 dollars each. We had to walk so far before we saw a tree with any apple on it, thank God a man gave me a apple picking stick. He said I was going to need it, I sure did we couldnt reach the apples. There wasnt any signs telling us where to find the apples. This is a horrible orchard

There were so many people on Sunday. I waited from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., only to be told that reservations were required in advance ?. But in the end, they let us in?. The entrance fee was $25 per person. You had to pay extra to pick apples, but there were no apples on the trees. They just had a few big boxes with apples, and you could take some from there—that counted as apple picking ?. I won’t be coming back. The restroom is extremely dirty, don’t forget to bring toilet paper, as no one will refill it for you.

This place is a joke they charge you 25 for person not for vehicle , on top you have to pay $35 for smal because if you don pay you can’t pick up apples but you pay already $25 for person,and when you go to pick up is nothing on the trees I give a start because the food is good that set

We had a great time at Outhouse Orchard yesterday 10/19/24. A bit crowded and long lines, but things ran smoothly and lines went pretty fast considering the crowd. Staff is very nice and welcoming and my daughter(8) enjoyed herself. A bit pricey given that adults pay the same as children yet we don’t do the children activities(bounce house, duck race, bubble station and more. Lots to do for children, so a great deal for kids. We spent about $300 for a family of 4(3 adults, 1 child). We loved the live music on the hayride, very fun and different. We did splurge a little since we haven’t been to a farm in a few years but food was great! Good thing you can bring your own food and have a picnic to stay more on budget. Something to consider for your visit.
Below is a little break down on what we spent:
Admission: $21 x’s 4= $85
1/2 bag of apples=$30
Corn maze= $5 each online (in person $10)
Face painting=$7 each kid
Small/medium pumpkin=$5 each(great price)
Brick oven Pizza= $18 each(3 pies= $54) delicious!
Drinks= $2 can of coke, $5 lemonade
Apple cider donuts=$15 a dozen
Coffee= $3
Hard cider=$8
Farm stand= about $40(corn bread, honey, white pumpkin, caramel)
Overall, a great day! Prices inside were very reasonable, minus the entrance fee. But still worth it.
Thank you!

Great experience for the entire family. In addition to apple picking, the food is solid. Chicken tenders + fries and pizza are excellent

Outhouse Orchards is an enjoyable destination for families and those looking to experience classic fall activities in the countryside. If you’re prepared for the crowds and cost, it’s a wonderful spot to spend a fall day apple picking, exploring the pumpkin patch, and enjoying the seasonal treats.
1. Apple Picking: Outhouse Orchards is a great spot for apple picking in the Hudson Valley. They offer a wide variety of apples, and visitors can enjoy picking their own directly from the trees during the harvest season.
2. Pumpkin Patch: In addition to apple picking, they have a large pumpkin patch, which is perfect for families looking to select pumpkins for Halloween or fall decorations.
3. Farm Stand and Market: The orchard also features a market where visitors can purchase freshly baked pies, apple cider donuts, local honey, and other farm-fresh products. apple cider donuts are warm and delicious.
4. Activities for Kids: There are several attractions for children, including hayrides, a corn maze, and a petting zoo. These activities make it a fun, family-oriented destination.
5. Scenic Location: The orchard is located in a beautiful rural setting, with plenty of scenic spots to relax and take in the fall foliage.
Things to Consider:
1. Crowds: Outhouse Orchards can get very crowded, especially on weekends during peak apple-picking season. Arriving early is recommended to avoid long lines and ensure a more relaxed experience.
2. Parking Fees: Some visitors have mentioned that there is a parking fee, which can be surprising for first-timers. It’s a good idea to check in advance for current prices.
3. Prices: While the overall experience is fun, some guests feel that the prices for apples and activities can be a bit on the higher side compared to other orchards in the area.

Attended during Fall 2024 and during Columbus Day weekend. If you buy your tickets online and in advance you save money. It was not as crowded as I expected it to be. This is farm is dog-friendly! They have food/beer onsite. The brick oven pizza was amazing! Apple cider donuts were delicious and fresh out the oven! While I was there, they had issues with their system, so be prepare to take out cash. With your entrance fee, you experience a hayride and fall activities (mainly targeted for children, but fun for adults too). Restrooms are porta potties. They have a cute market for those who do not want to pick apples.
