Very thoughtfully curated shows with a focus on regional and national artists. Community programs and lectures on occasion. Director Virginia Walsh and the gallery consistently hit 'best of' lists in Hudson Valley publications. I have collected a number of pieces and met talented up and coming artists at the openings.

Ann Street gallery has been showing high quality, beautifully curated work for over 12 years. Mixing artists from Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and other cultural centers with artists from the Hudson Valley, the gallery has been an anchor of the Newburgh art scene.

ABOUT THE GALLERY Under the umbrella of Safe Harbors of the Hudson, a nonprofit organization that combines supportive housing and the arts, Ann Street Gallery presents contemporary art through exhibitions and programming that create new opportunities for education and immersion in the arts in Newburgh. Ann Street Gallery’s exhibitions, events, and programs seek to increase arts literacy and appreciation by engaging community and promoting forward thinking, socially and ecologically responsive, and under-represented positions in contemporary practice.
