“My podiatrist told me to go to Tip Top shoe and get my feet measured by Harold. Harold is the best salesman, and understood that I needed a shoe with a roomy toe box. In the past 2 years I've bought 3 pairs of shoes there (2 are more like sneakers, 1 pair of slightly dressier boots). They are all comfortable, wear well, and my podiatrist couldn't be happier. They were about average price, and the quality is very good. Harold steered me towards the boots off season and I saved quite a bit buying them early.I miss buying shoes for style as well as comfort, but my feet are happier than they've ever been. After the holidays I'm. heading back to Tip Top for a pair of every day walking shoes.Highly recommended, and ask for Harold.”

“I had a magical time at my Universal Standard personal shopping experience and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in trying their clothes in a warm, welcoming environment. The only minor difficulty was that the door buzzer wasn't working, but I called the phone number included in my appointment email and was headed upstairs in moments with my friend who was there for additional support. The rest of the appointment was ever better than I had hoped. The space is lovely and comfortable with refreshments and a very clean bathroom. I met with my very glamorous stylist who immediately put me at ease. I had come in to try on their new US + Henning collaboration and they had every piece I wanted to try on. We also walked through things I liked from the brand so he had a sense of what I wanted (although I later learned he knew my shopping history from US well so he wouldn't pull things I already owned!). After we spoke with the stylist, I was left alone with my friend and the other person who also shared my appointment time, who was lovely, and we looked at some clothes they had in the space while our stylist pulled looks for each of us. Then we were able to try everything on in dressing rooms and talk through them. I was able to order some items there and will order more later once I get home and decide on the colors. I know the US brand extremely well and I still thought this was an excellent experience. I felt very taken care of and appreciated. I also learned some styling tricks and things to consider when buying a blazer to ensure it's sized correctly. I just can't speak highly enough about this experience. I like shopping in general, but this was luxurious and special. I highly recommend!”

Unfortunately I was looking for a subtle boot that might work for a woman, and though they did have my size (8.5 women, 6 men), the styles were very masculine, with a lot of contrast stitching and brass eyelets and logger boot looks.”
