I had 2 Windows vandalized in NYC on a Sunday. Called my ins. Who suggested safelite. Scheduled an appointment and they came out on Tues. However, they didn't have OEM windows and being it was a new car, I wanted originals so I was told I had to request which I did but it had nearly 2 wks wait. 2 wks later they show up & still no originals. Their local shop mgr was supposed to call and never did. At this point I contacted WinshieldHub who also gave me ax10 day wait window and who also called after I waited 10 days, telling me it woul still take up to 2 wks because they had ordered after market in error. I asked them to cxl and went to a local shop, Barahona Auto Glass on 1831 E. Tremont in the BX , gave a deposit on a,Wednesday and by Friday of same wk, had new orig. windows in car and price was in line with the big boys, in fact a lit'l less.

I would like to give Safelite a zero rating for the horrendous customer service I experienced at their Westbury, NY shop. I called on a Friday and was advised the closest location to me did not have any available appointments until Tuesday. Since the windshield was cracked more than 24" across I opted to drive to Farmingdale, and scheduled service for Saturday. Upon arrival I was informed they do not have the windshield in stock. I was rescheduled for Wednesday. On Wednesday I received a call from customer service letting me know they have an earlier appointment available. I advised the caller I did not make arrangements to leave my job early but will get to my 4:00pm appointment before 4:00pm. I drove an 1 hour and 40 minutes only to be told the replacement was scheduled at the Westbury shop and "someone" should have called you. I immediately called customer service in Westbury to let them know I will be there in 15 minutes. Customer service: "I was just about to call you to reschedule because it's a 3 hours service." Followed with "That will not work because our technicians will be out in the field. I work for customer service so I don't know what you want me to do." Rescheduled for Thursday at 3:30pm. Showed up on Thursday at 3:30pm. Front desk rep "we're very busy right now and you'll have to wait, when can you come back? If my insurance did not cover the cost I would not have gone there. Do not recommend this company unless you want the run around and lied to services.

Safelite is the most miserable experience I've ever had trying to get a windshield fixed. Took them a month bc they kept ordering the wrong glass and then not taking any blame or offering a discount for the inconvenience. This location and the one is queens are both equally horrific.

1st time they had the incorrect windshield2nd time they told me they were charging an extra $600 for my Mercedes oem windshield. On the site it said $0 charge for oem. Wasted multiple hours for their complete incompetence

I had my windshield replaced a few months ago at this location and the staff was very courteous and fixed timely and issued the recalibration certificate. Subsequently had a small issue with windshield sensor and Safelite was very accommodating and fixed very quickly under warranty. Dealership would have charged me an arm and a leg, especially with a lease. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Thank you!

Went here to replace my windshield through geico. Made an appointment 12 noon weekday, went there during work and was told that they cancelled my appointment. "Didn't you get our email?" Really?? How about calling or texting me so I don't waste my time. Anyway they said they cancelled because the windshield needs to be calibrated so an early appt is needed. Fine. Made appt for following day again during my work day, "we have bad news, your new windshield is cracked". This after I sat halfway on the curb and in the street waiting for someone to pull out so I can go in. After I pull in they tell me this. Couldn't even email me I said lol. Nothing no email, text or phone call. I told them you are the absolute worst and booked another company outside of geico. Stay far away.

brought my RAV4 here to replace a cracked windshield. Appointment was for 6:30 am and the shop employees were waiting for me and took the car right away. They said it would be 2 hours for replacement, but they called me back after about an hour and a half to say it was done. They removed registration and inspection stickers from old windshield perfectly and applied them to new windshield perfectly. the windshield wiper rain sensor works perfectly. Just a top notch, quick turnaround experience. These guys are pros at what they do. Highly recommend.

Don’t waste your time. Friendly and helpful staff but safelight defines incompetence. After reading many of these reviews about wrong parts and canceled appointments I decided to do my due diligence. As soon as my appointment was scheduled I called to ensure the correct part was ordered. Then I was called to confirm my appointment. I asked and was assured that they had the correct part. Then, the morning of I was called again, shocker—they had the wrong window. So I was given the option of parking a car with a smashed window in Manhattan for another week until they get the right part. Thanks but no thanks. This is what you get for working with a giant corporation. Called Liberty glass in queens who also work with geico and I’m getting my window fixed today. Thanks for nothing Safelight.

They dented the car and claimed it was already there. Clearly can see it was just done. They allege they take pictures prior to doing service, but how can we tell they didn’t do it, they can simply take a picture after damage is done and claim it was there. Terrible service.

They installed my back passenger window, and now half way close it starts to go slow. They said is the window motor but my cat is a 2022 hyundai. Now I been trying to get them to fix it and they won't answer my phone calls. Plus they said they clean all the broken glass from the edges, but they didn't, I found pieces and had to remove them my self. I took it back today for them to doble check if there was broken glass still inside and they said they would do it, on top of all they started to said it was all in my imagination!! They also said they don't warranty their job cleaning 100%. This is by far the worst!! I will send a complaint to my insurance and their corporate. This is at 446 w 54st.

Replace front windshield which was cracked. Went fine as the replacement windshield as perfect. However the tech failed to re connect the windshield washer hose which I took care of. Took the vehicle to the car wash about 10 days after the install and noticed glue spots on the roof, passenger door and rear window. Had the guys at the car wash try to remove them but were unsuccessful due to the strong glue used in the replacement. Called customer service to get this taken care care and after being bounced to 4 different customer service reps and 30 minutes on the phone they finally scheduled a warrantee follow up visit.

Excellent, fast service. I arrived for a new windshield 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment, they took me in immediately and I was out in an hour.

Slow as all hell. I’ve had my windshield replaced before and it was not as long as 3 hours like they have taken. Customer service is lacking. You can barely get them to speak to you. They’re lucky the insurance company basically forces you to use their services. If you don’t have to use them- DON’T!

Safelite at 54th street cancelled two appointments on me, 45 minutes from my visit. They didn't even provide another appointment in the coming days, so I had to go to the "back of the line" each time. I had to drive with a broken window for a month and a half. Do yourself a favor. Don't use this company.
