Such a beautiful and serene store to look for treasures. The owners are so helpful. I would recommend this store to anybody who visits the stores near the big antique in New Paltz

I adore the store and it's owner. I have for many years now. New Paltz has many unique gems to offer and this one is up there on the list.

This store is an absolute treasure cove of beautiful art, books, clothing, and artifacts that fully encompass the Buddhist way of life. The huge Mandala painting that hangs behind the counter is a perfect symbol of the Impermanence of life, which is an ancient Buddhist belief that the owner likes to express to those customers that are genuinely interested. The owner of the store, a Buddhist Practitioner, gives full undivided attention to each customer and does so with not just the profit in mind, but also with a genuine desire to teach and guide those who would like to learn more about Asian cultures and spirituality. The shop has a wide array of items such as Buddhist literature, Tibetan jewelry, incense, hand-knitted clothing, meditation mats, and mala beads. Visiting this store once has turned into a hobby that I do every couple days. The more I visit, the more I learn...and you can to =].

I went to some lovely shops in New Paltz, but this one really made my day. The ladies who work there were very sweet and friendly, and were happy to share their culture -- which truly added dimension to the experience. The shop offers many different authentic items, including (but not limited to): jewelry, clothes, rugs, prayer flags, bags, scarves, cards, and books. It's uncommon for me to leave a store so much happier and enriched than when I went in, but this was definitely one of those times. I wouldn't hesitate to stop back in the next time I'm in town. I also wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to others!
