I stumbled on "Accent on Music" by chance, I was looking for a record store. Something in the description made think they sold records. After I realized it was a Hi-Fi audio store I decide to go in and browse. Well I ended up participating in a mini -listening session with Bill test driving the new Rega Aya. I was so impressed by the speaker, I asked to reserve a listening session in which I could bring my own albums to hear through the speakers. After I decided on getting the speakers. On the day of delivery I had a very engaged conversation with Alma where spent about a half-hour discussing Joni Mitchell, luxury watches, weather, and scones. Beyond being great company, they really know sonics and how to customize the sound to your liking. I was so excited about the speakers that I accidentally flubbed Alma's name when I was leaving. I think I called her a version of the speakers and her name combined. I look forward to building a system with you in the future. You truly embody the title "Accent on Music.

I first walked into the store in the early 1990s. I instantly liked the relaxed atmosphere and product selection. Since then I've made many a purchase and couldn't be happier. How many hifi shops can say they have been in business that long, with the same ownership, and standing behind the very same core product brands all those years? It's a testament to the quality of the products on offer and the people at the shop. If you're in the market for anything hifi, I most highly recommend you go see David, Alma and Bill.

I wanted to get back into vinyl and after a lot of internet research I decided on a Rega planar turntable. Lucky for me this wonderful audiophile shop 20 min from my house was open, had the regas available to trial and they were just wonderful. They set my turntable up and when I get home I just needed to hook it up. Went for the planar 3 without regrets. It’s a beautiful looking and sounding turntable. Would shop again without hesitation. They have truly high end equipment and are thrilled to spend time educating you about the equipment they choose to sell.

I purchased a naim muso 2nd generation. David and everyone there was so kind and so helpful. They also had a demo for the muso and muso qb. After hearing both I knew that the full size muso is what I needed. I had a wonderful experience and they have earned a customer for life.

I had a great experience at Accent on Music. Their primary focus is Rega, Linn, and Naim products, so you should know that going in. They have deep knowledge on those three companies and their products, so they are the place to go if those brands are on your radar. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They helped me upgrade the cartridge on my Rega P3. They gave me a fair price, and they installed it and serviced my turntable. It's running quite well, and I'm very happy with the new cartridge.

My dad had a Linn system and when he passed I brought his Sondek in for a "tune up". I really appreciated the time David and Alma spent with me and their enthusiasm for Linn gear. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, friendly environment. People that love good music that sounds good. What more do you need?

I first walked into Accent on Music 32 years ago, and on the day I walked in I made new trusted friends, David and Alma. They have consistently outperformed my expectations and I trust them and their staff implicitly. Nice selection of gear, with a decided euro leaning and two nice listening rooms. If you want “fancy pants” maybe not the right place but 10 times out of 10 I’m picking “the real deal” over “fancy pants”. This establishment has withstood the test of time, and rightly so.

They carry decent brands. I was considering a lot different upgrades and service from Accent on Music, and was looking for a trusted local dealer and long-term audiophile partnership. I auditioned some gear and brought my old amp.They didn't return my power cable in the box, and returned a different cable when we went back for it. It wasn't that valuable, but it was the original cable that came with my amp, so I was disappointed when they handed us a different random cable.I was clear about the gear I wanted to audition based on the brands listed on their site, and they only had a pair set up for me that was twice my budget. They didn't recommend or prepare for any of the other gear that I listed in our email exchange, and seemed surprised when I asked again about the gear I came by to hear.Surprisingly, I found the shop to be a mess, disorganized, awkwardly cramped, and not a pleasant dealer experience overall. You walk into what appears to be a small office, and unless you're looking at $40k gear, you're put into the "entry-level" back room that looks more like a repair shop.After that experience, I still wanted to give them a chance. Oddly, they were difficult with service questions, didn't offer new gear pricing for some reason, or any other solutions or ideas.Some of the better dealers I've experienced will work with your budget and go above and beyond with service and share trust and expertise. I've been to many dealers and showrooms, and typically that low bar is much higher than what I experienced at Accent on Music.I was ready to purchase quite a lot gear from them, and I prefer to support local small businesses, but their service and lack of professionalism floored me. I took my budget elsewhere.

I brought my My Linn Sondek in for maintenance and a new cartridge in Feb, 2020. The turntable was is bad shape and needed lots of work. Due to extreme health expenses, my budget was limited. Alma and team went above and beyond to get my Linn and running at a reasonable cost. It sounds great and is helping me through the Covid quarantine. This is an awesome shop full of caring, knowledgable music lovers.
