Thiago is the best!!!! He’s incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to talk to you for a long time about your dog and their needs. Our dog always leaves happy after spending time in day care. Whenever we walk anywhere near Treats and Tips, she is dying to visit Thiago!

Used to come here all the time until our dog came home with two nicks from grooming that were glued to conceal the cut. We weren't informed both times. One time is a mistake and second is careless. I don't think there was care given to my dog despite our loyalty.

My terrier Jo Jo LOVES Treats and Tips. I've been sending him to Doggy Daycare, grooming, and boarding for over 5 years because Thiago treats him like family. Ive never met a someone who loves my dog more than I do. (Watching a grown man adoringly greet my 14lb dog in the morning is about my favorite thing in the world.)Joey is older, and adopted, and he had anxiety around other dogs when I first got him. I knew he needed to be socialized but between terrible dog walker and other bad experiences, I was worried about who I could trust. But T&T has been more amazing than I could have expected. Daycare has small groups of dogs, anywhere between 4 and 12 given the day. There's a lot of one on one attention between the humans and the pups, and lots of walks. Joey eats breakfast and sometimes dinner there when I come home late from work. And he's in completely safe hands, Thiago runs a tight ship, and is such a great communicator.When I used to board him he'd always act weird for the next few days, either anxious when I leave the room, or totally lethargic. But since I've been using T&T, JoJo just acts like normal when I get back. (Crazy excited, a little more snuggly, but normal.)Can't say enough good things! Highly suggest you check them out!Ps. This has been edited from a yelp review I wrote about 3 years ago but this still rings true! Love T&T!

This place is the worst not recommendable at all. The owner is extremely rude! Yelled at me over the phone for rescheduling appointment.
Did not take in consideration my need of rescheduling! Practically fought with me over the phone as to why i was rescheduling when i mention my reason as to why. Also my dog leaves this place being down for a week i believe this place sedates dogs. I have to buy my dog a toy for her mood to be happy. My dog is a very playful happy dog but when she comes out from this place its concerning her behavior. Also has multiple cuts and bleeding on the tummy and chest! Never coming back here due to the owner being so nasty attitude and im concern for my pet! Clients dont need to be treated that way. when us clients for more and 1 year paying there high pricing fees! Beware of your dogs behavior after leaving this place!

Very rude and unprofessional behavior by Thiago and not experienced groomer!I was taking my dog to this place for the last 3 years. Our last visit was such an unpleasant experience, very disappointed!My dog, who’s about 15 lbs came out after 2.5 hours (1.5 hours would usually take) looking like she’s halfway done! After pointing out what is not looking right, I was rushed out of the store saying it’s not their fault but my dog’s who’s old (7 years old though). Giving 2 stars for the past experience, this one was very disappointing. There are many other places where, I’m sure your dog and your money would be more appreciated.

I never leave reviews but I feel that this is necessary. I have been a customer for 3 years and today is my last time ever coming back. My dog clearly wasn’t groomed properly and when I brought this up to Thiago he acted very unprofessional. This isn’t a cheap service and you’d think a loyal customer for 3 years would be entitled to some sort of discount or at least brought back in to fix the mistakes. Instead, Thiago was standoffish and quick to blame a new employee which made me feel uncomfortable, and I question how his employees feel working for a rude boss. This might explain the poor service. I’m excited to find a new groomer !- Bunny Oliveira

This is our home away from home. Miss T loves all her friends there and we use all of their services from buying our dog food to daycare and grooming. Simply the best in Astoria!

This Place always has so many dogs at the lower level just hanging out for such a small place. I've take my dog a couple of times here and every time my dog comes back she acts weird. I have a very high suspicion that they sedate dogs. I have to always buy my dog a toy for her to not be sad for the next 3 days most time up to a week. Something is not right! Second of all the owner is so rude and inconsiderate will literally fight with you on the phone if you try to rescheduled your appointment has a very very nasty attitude. If he is like that to a human i wonder how they treat the pets! and Third of all my dog always come back with bleeding cuts. Do not go here at all! I will not be returning here again ever and this place is not recommended! Does not deserve a star!

I was recommended this place & tried to give it a shot. I should've noticed by the way the place looks and the energy that the receptionist gave off that. My dog is a toy poodle, 10 pounds. I came to pick her up just for all her fur to be shaved off, uneven hair on her face, CUTS on her nipples and stomach & she even has a rash on her private area which i booked a vet appointment for her to get checked out. She came back home acting very different, she was trembling with I would assume is fear. While I dropped her off, I could hear dogs upstairs barking and crying. Don't take your dog here. I feel so horrible putting her through such an experience. This place is wack. Won't be coming here again.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars!! Took my dog (a 8 pound poodle) to get groomed a couple of times at this place. Always noticed his haircut was uneven and my dog would be super tired when coming home. I thought maybe they need more time getting used to him, he's a puppy basically, right? Give them another shot right. Took him yesterday to get groomed again, and my dog started shaking as soon as we stopped at the front door. Didn't think much of it. I thought maybe he knew we would be leaving him. We dropped him off at 10am. They said he would be done in an hour. They call us 30 mins in saying "his hair is too tangled we would have to go lower," which we say "okay." We had trimmed him not long ago, but we thought it would be a bit lower than usual. 12pm hits and they say they need 40mins more. Mind you, my dog is not even 10 pounds. When we get him the dog has no hair on him! They shaved all his beautiful coat off! So I ask myself why take 3 hours on a 8 pound dog, just to shave all his hair off without asking? When we got him I noticed my dog could barely walk, shaking and growling at everyone. He is usually friendly and energetic because he is not even 2 years old!! They clearly sedated him and mistreated my poor dog!!! Now I understand why he shakes when he sees that place and why he acts so strange when he gets home from this horrible place. And yes we were charged 75$ to sedate, mistreat, and violate my dog!! Illegal and that groomer especially needs to get fired. She doesn't know a thing about being a groomer. Disgusting place!

Just had both my girls spend an entire month with Alex and Thiago. It was amazing. They made sure the girls were taken care of day and night. My little one even was able to lose the 3 lbs she needed to lose. Non stop playing with dogs all day and walks non-stop. Only the best! They look great and happy. Like I've said before, they run to their door when they realize where we are. Amazing.
