*** UPDATE***Dispite following the directions that were responded to this review - nothing has happened. I spoke wit the customer service line and was told the District Manager would call me by Wednesday and the regional manger by Thursday - it's Monday- NOTHING!-----------------------I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Rent-A-Center, leading me to give them a one-star rating. Initially, everything seemed fine, but when the product I rented malfunctioned, seeking assistance turned into a drawn-out battle.Dealing with Rent-A-Center's customer service was an exercise in frustration. It seemed nearly impossible to get any sort of help or resolution. Finally, after much persistence, I managed to get a resolution, but it was far from satisfactory. I was making payments on an item that wasn't in working condition, despite that going against my contract. I had to actually photocopy and hightlight that part of the agreement to combat the store manager texting me that I was a liar and that those word were not in the agreement, to which they were. Side note, zero apology for that was given.After being given 2 weeks credit on my item - dispite it being over 7 weeks of payments and failure for RAC to abide by the signed agreement, I was contacted that payment was now due. At that time I notified the caller that I would be paying all items off by Thursday. To make matters worse, the representative I spoke with asked for a specific time on the date I provided for the payoff, which I found incredibly annoying. As I attempted to explain that I wasn't sure of the exact time and suggested by the end of the day, the representative abruptly slammed the phone down while I was mid-sentence.This experience left me feeling disrespected and thoroughly dissatisfied with Rent-A-Center's service. It's disappointing that a company would treat its customers in such a dismissive manner, especially when they are seeking assistance with a legitimate issue.In the end, the only way I managed to get a resolution was by contacting the Better Business Bureau (BBB). It's concerning that it took such extreme measures to resolve a simple issue with Rent-A-Center.I strongly caution anyone considering renting from Rent-A-Center to think twice. While their initial offerings may seem appealing, the lack of accountability and poor customer service when problems arise are major red flags. In my experience, the hassle and frustration of dealing with Rent-A-Center were simply not worth it.

Everything said, good employees. Jessica and I have a love hate relationship. I’m late often and she all of a sudden sounds manly like she’s trying to intimidate me on her voicemails. Honestly makes my day. ?

Bought a laptop from them. They took the money out of my account and I still have not received my laptop and on top of that still want me to make a payment for something I do not even have possession of staff is fairly poorly communicated and believe me, I’m a manager at a different company, and this is not how you communicate whatsoever with your customers horrible staffing zero motivation was promised the laptop three different times already and all I can get is let me call you back in 20 minutes

Customer service has been great everyone has been wonderful they helped me when I truly needed it and I couldn't be more grateful.

I gave 1 star as I'm not able to leave a 0. The staff and management are rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. I no longer have a contract through this company. They called me to open a new contract and I politely declined due to my experience. Weeks later I was notified of funds being charged to my account that I made a ONE time payment with. When calling I was notified that the manager made a mistake and charged my account (that wasn't supposed to be held on file). Since I have been charged 4 additional times. They do not safe keep your information nor do they fix their problems. Reaching out to Corporate company, they don't return emails and let the problem continue. Calling the customer help line not only do they not fix the situation but refuse to allow you to speak directly with their supervisor. They are liars, thieves and just a horrible company to use. Hopefully they shut down and leave the area as they are a disgrace.

My first experience was in 2019, they sold me a used laptop with stickers all over it and when I turned it on I got a blue screen which is the motherboard being shot. After 6 weeks and broken promises for a brand new one I just gave it back. Today I dealt with Joel. I had put in a reservation for a bed but my situation temporarily changed. This man had the nerve to call and be rude asking for a payment on a bed I never received! How does he not see in his computer that i never had that bed delivered?! Then proceeded to say they had problems with me in the past. Who in their right mind would make payments on a broken laptop?!! He hung up on me multiple times! I wouldn't recommend the kingdom store, use poughkeepsie.

I had done all the necessary things needed to get started so I could have my furniture delivered and I was told I wouldn’t get it until a week later on Sept 7th which was perfectly fine with me. The day comes and they call my references and my job to verify. Great. Well I had been waiting all day for a call of when I would be getting it delivered and nothing. I call and they said they would get back to me. Never called. So end of day comes mind you it was supposed to be delivered between 3-5 and nothing. I called and asked what was going on and they give me this story about they tried calling me multiple times and left a voicemail and I received nothing!! So I got very upset and told them if you couldn’t get a hold of me why didn’t you call where I work I’m there until 5 and the man said why would we do that. Obviously to get a hold of me. So then I told them screw it I didn’t want the furniture anymore and to refund me my money and he was like okay bye. So then my husband called and the man told him I was very rude on the phone and was like well we’ve been waiting here and nothing so yeah I get it. They had someone deliver the furniture but my family had to help me get it down and I had to set it up myself. They’re not very professional, yes they kept they’re cool but it was something on their part they should have done better, rather than blame me for not being able to get ahold of me.

Renta center so great I love you guys I purchased table and I had great customer service consistantly.They always called which is courtesy. I love they were always professional.

My contract says weekly. If I miss a payment, they add more money onto it than just what is owed. I’ll never do this again.
