“Great gym and atmosphere. Handful of older Eleiko and SOTA combo racks with a mix of Eleiko, Ohio, and Bells of Steel power bars. There’s an additional cage setup for even more room to squat/bench. Plenty of deadlift platforms as well.One thing to be aware of is the older Eleiko deadlift jacks have a tendency to cause one end of the bar to pop up when you’re taking off the plates due to how narrow it holds the bar.”

“We just moved up here to be closer to family. My daughter Ali Calandra told me I have to try a workout that she’s been doing for a few months. She brought me in the other day and now I’m hooked!! The trainers want you to do the best you can do. They our your biggest cheerleader. Love it here and so glad my daughter introduced me to it. So glad I became a member!! Now I’m ready for 2024!!”

“QDA is a positive and inclusive fitness community in which anyone can get health benefits if they put in the work. It doesn't matter if you're 300 lbs with a 30 inch waist and you live on raw horse liver and can bench press a dump truck... or if you rip filterless Winstons, can't walk up a flight of stairs and eat stinger subs with extra mayo all day. There's something for everyone. There's even occasionally a puppers or two. The music is alright. The floor is usually clean. Weights are usually organized. Not too many meatheads. All and all it's pretty swell.”

“Good gym with everything you'd need for strength training or cardio, including barbell equipment. They offer day/week passes, which is what I'm using while in town. If you're interested in a temporary pass, I'd recommend calling early, because staff isn't always present. Would be a member if I lived nearby.”

“I've been going to Boxstar for the last year and a half. My last class is this week before I leave town AND I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT IT. ?❤All of the head trainers are AMAZING. The same can most definitely be said of all the other staff as well. I'm an early morning class person and it's honestly the best feeling to start the day with having punched and kicked a million times and doing circuits in such good company.I was primarily a gym goer to facilities with just weight and cardio stations and machines. Boxstar was such a game changer. Being someone with limited mobility and rotation in my leg, fitness classes can be really mentally exhausting because more often than not, classes and trainers of large groups aren't able to help with modifications because of large class size or the class just moves at a very fast pace - not an issue here. I feel more than comfortable talking to any trainer here, even the ones that aren't regulars with me and feel confident that they really do care and will take a beat in class before/during/after class to check in with me.I really have been spoiled here. Each trainer brings their own style to their classes - you'll definitely find whatever you're looking for in boxing and circuit training classes, martial arts and private training is also offered.If you're in Buffalo, you're really missing out if you haven't stopped by here yet. This gym is definitely the place I'll miss most leaving the 716!!!!”

“Crowded entryway, but friendly and helpful trainers with a good playlist!When I walked in 5 mins before class time, the last class was still wrapping up and there was no cubby space to put my things. It was a swift transition to the start of our class and just had to put my jacket and things in the back of the workout area.The trainers are super sweet, and asked if I had any previous F45 experience. They walked through and corrected my form appropriately. I'll come back!”

“If you love pickleball then be sure to check out this facility! We are from Waterloo, Ontario Canada and we decided to spend a weekend and play here. It's drop in play, so we decided to play the Saturday 9:00am open play all skill level session. It was rather busy but the staff are super organized and keep the games moving...paddles are boxed in winners and non-winners and alternately pulled in groups of 4 for the next available court. Great system. They also have higher skill sessions which I attended in the afternoon of Saturday and Sunday. Only downside is there isn't much of a change room for non-members. Relegated to the bathrooms. The staff and owners were helpful and very friendly. Definitely plan on going back for more. And they have cornhole upstairs too!”

“Visiting Buffalo and dropped in for the "Barre Centric" class with Elle. Of the many barre classes I've taken over the years, this was one of the best! Great instructor--informative and motivating. Spacious, clean, sunny studio. Fun music. Challenging movements for all fitness levels (there was a wide range within the clientele in my class--all rocking it!). I run and lift almost every day, but forgot how killer those tucks are! Would recommend for anyone. First class is free, so might as well try!”
