I’ve been going to this gym ever since it first opened. So I’ve been lifting here for 10 years or so. First of all, I can hardly call this a gym. Years ago, the free weights only went up to 65 , now they’re at 75 but that’s easy to lift after training for a while. Theres no flat bench press, just a few smith machines. Back then, you used to be able to get a 3 day pass just to try out the gym if you liked it. Now you gotta pay $20 for a day pass which IS NOT WORTH IT. You could almost never find the matching dumbbells you need. After 5:30 on a weekday you might as well skip the gym cause it’s so damn packed. So many kids and stinky old Indian people. It’s more of a community rec center than a gym. I hate it here. Gonna have to do years and years of therapy because of planet fitness

Various machines are broken but there is always at least one of each kind available. The sanitation stations are kind of busted most of the time though they seem to be making efforts to rectify this recently. However, over the last several weeks the water fountain has been out of order and the only alternative they are willing to provide is bottled water for sale. I don’t purchase bottled water due to my views on the environment, and I don’t allocate money for bottled water in my budget. Considering it’s the height of summer I think it would make sense for the company to provide some other alternative to bottled water for purchase. I’ve spoken to management twice and twice I’ve been told this is the only alternative. Water is a human right. And it doesn’t make sense to keep water behind a paywall to your paying members.

3 years ago, I gave a 5 stars. Yesterday, I was so excited ? about going back to the gym after an ankle injury that had me out for over a year a couple of months. The manager was at lunch, and she will come back at 2pm. My husband was exercising and saw when the lady from the reception went up told her that someone was waiting for her ( she page her begore too) Someone else came down to the reception. It was 2: 26 already... yes, the guy apologized to me for waiting, and he paged the manager again. Finally, she came down. I never have had a problem with the staff but her. She doesn't even look at you or try to help you is like it's just her way or no way. Yes, I was out since March 19. My first surgery was 21th and then the second April 28th. My husband took the Dr's letter that said it was valid for 6 months and yes last year my husband spoke with her gave her a copy of the letter ans then went back and asked why we were charged. She said well we need a letter but you have it My husband took it again, and then she told my husband it's better for you to cancel the membership , and it will take time for you to get your money back. Mind, we never got it back. She said today there was nothing we could do that they needed Dr's letter. Since the way she was talking, I asked if I could talk to someone else above her, and she said well yes, but anyway, it will come back to me (sarcastically)
I was very disappointed, yes, she said well there's nothing else I can do. You already asked to speak with someone else. She asked me twice to write down the info. I asked her to write it down for me
People need to be more compassionate. She doesn't even imagine what I went through.
(Yes, I called the number, and I left two messages) The manager needs to be more kind !

This gym is not bad but more maintenance is needed. The machines need to be cleaned by staff more often and I know it might be difficult to do but a lot of people here do not take after themselves. There are literal puddles after some people use the machines here, gross! Also, I feel like there are often days I see people with no membership entering the gym, and they are not even guests of someone with a membership. I have seen people just walk in while someone at the front is taking care of someone. Its very unprofessional and prevents paying members to have to wait for machines that freeloaders can use. Not fair at all.

I recently had the *pleasure* of canceling my Planet Fitness membership, which I held since 2021. Back then, it was the best gym in the area, open 24/7 on weekdays. Fast forward to today, and it's a shadow of its former self.
**Hours:** Gone are the 24/7 days. Now, it’s as unpredictable as a toddler’s nap schedule.
**Staff:** The manager is a gem of incompetence. Not only is she unqualified, but she also seems to have a special talent for discrimination. If you’re a minority, expect to be treated like an unwelcome guest. She’ll go out of her way to make you so uncomfortable that canceling your membership feels like a vacation. The staff members take their cues from her, greeting their "own people" warmly while ignoring minorities. Professionalism? Never heard of it.
**Equipment:** Once reliable, the machines now seem designed to injure rather than help. Treadmills that could double as medieval torture devices, and a grand total of 4 smith machines and 1 leg press for the entire gym. Clearly, they believe in keeping cardio equipment that nobody uses in prime condition while ignoring the broken ones. Most of the machines are broken, a lot of treadmills don't work, and the cardio machines that barely get used just occupy space. With only 4 smith machines, which is never enough, and a single free weight leg press machine that's always occupied, get ready to wait.
**Overcrowding:** The gym is so packed in the afternoons and evenings that finding an empty machine is like winning the lottery. And don’t even get me started on the summer passes for high school students – a masterstroke in crowd control failure.
**Membership Scam:** Upgrading to a Black Card membership? Don’t. Unless you enjoy hidden fees and unexpected contracts. I learned the hard way that upgrading binds you to a one-year contract with a $58 cancellation fee. Naturally, this crucial info is buried in the fine print, because transparency is for suckers.
**Customer Service:** The staff couldn’t care less about you. They’ll happily ignore you unless you’re one of their own. Recent highlight? A staff member decided to clean the walls during peak workout time, making sure to interrupt everyone’s session. Priorities!
**Gym Etiquette:** To the folks who expect everyone to smell like a bouquet while working out: are you at the gym to exercise or to win a fragrance award? When you work out, you sweat. And guess what? Sweating means you might smell, no matter how much perfume you drown yourself in. If you can’t handle the reality of people sweating in a gym, maybe try a private gym where no one sweats, or better yet, work out in a park or at home.
To my Desi community and anyone who values respect, do yourself a favor: steer clear of this trashy establishment. Planet Fitness has perfected the art of disrespect and discrimination, making it a place to avoid at all costs.

Although the gym has a lot to offer such as the summer pass etc, everytime I go to the dumbbell section I cannot find the ones I need.

At this point, Planet Fitness might as well put up a banner stating, "This gym is only for Black and Hispanic people; other races are not allowed." The blatant favoritism and discrimination are outrageous and disheartening. This gym is heavily biased towards Black and Hispanic individuals and seems to discourage other races from working out here. The manager and staff are terrible; they display racist and discriminatory behavior, treating non-Black and non-Hispanic members poorly, ignoring them, and giving them strange looks. If any conflict arises, the manager and staff will always side with the Black and Hispanic individuals, even if they are at fault.
Avoid this gym if you expect fair treatment and a safe workout environment.

I like this gym. Very friendly staff but now no more open 24 hours that's why I can't join planet fitness member because I and my all group go there at night time, but now everyone canceled the membership because of no more 24 hours open. I wish they again open 24 then we join again.
