I went to the store after making an appointment to get my dogs nails clipped. Waited patiently till the waiting area was cleared, came in filled out papers, show vaccine information and then was told I couldn't hold my dog or have another groomer hold her instead of having a collar around her neck. I have taken her to this specific PetSmart and had them done by me holding the dog and having her nails clipped last month. I spoke to the store manager who kept saying its policy...cutting while me holding is a fireable offense as well as clipping her nails while the dog was not behind the employees only sign. I have no problem with policy, but I do when policies aren't the same. I never said anything about her not wanting a collar last time, I just held her and she did it no questions asked. I HATE how poorly I was treated today and most likely will never return into this store because of it. The manager was belittling and the main woman at the grooming was just negative. This is my dog and I get to make the decisions for her as you would make decisions for your loved ones when they cant speak or decide. Secondly this dog is a service animal. I have her registered and it's also helpful for my comfort to have things done the way I need them done for her as well. Today didnt help that. This store is terrible and run by obviously management who has zero care. perhaps PetSmart needs people who care working for them and have a policy and it sticks across the board all the time...not when its convenient.

Sick and dying pets. They shouldn't be allowed to sell live animals if they can't even provide the most basic level of care.

I have been taking our dogs for grooming for several years. While the grooming job has been very good, they are terrible at making and keeping appointments. I can understand bad weather and illness cancellations. I also understand that there is a shortage of groomers. What I don't understand is the disrespect for my time. I am always on time dropping off and picking up my dog. The latest appointment was cancelled by Petsmart on the day before. I made another appointment for the following Friday at 11 a.m. When my husband arrived with our dog, on time, the grooming area was all dark. He inquired about the situation and was told they would be in at 12! About 20 minutes later, he was told that our groomer was no longer working there and that there was no record of our appointment! Our phone log states otherwise!! Last straw! So angry at the lack of customer respect.

My mother had an issue and asked for a manager. After waiting for about an hour there, the manager never showed up. My mother drove out 30 minutes for my dog's grooming appointment to this place yesterday, but because our puppy turned 4 months on THAT day, they denied grooming her because she needs to have her rabies vaccine. So, 30 minutes to drive there, an hour waiting for the manager to try and talk, and an extra 30 minutes to get back home. 2 hours wasted. Do not waste your time and patience with these people. We will be returning, but only to talk with the manager. And that will be the last time we ever go. I used to be a customer here, but after how my mother way treated, I am not longer one as of yesterday. And here's some of my personal experience going there, since I'm already writing this review: A majority of their cat toys are practically unusable, the fish in their aquariums don't seem to be all that healthy, and most aisles aren't sorted and are cluttered.

I live 30 minutes away. I'm an RN and work two jobs and have limited time off. I had a day off and needed to get my two little dogs nails cut. I always come here to get them cut. I called the grooming salon before I headed over to make sure they would take a walk in on this day. They said sure, no problem come by. I got here and they said there are no groomers. Total waste of time. If I hadn't called and got the go ahead to come by it wouldn't be a big deal but it was a total disrespect of time and gas. I won't ever be bringing them back here for their nails.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This store NEVER has anything. Every time we need crickets for our dragon, no crickets. Horn worms? No horn worms. I went for birthday stuff for my dog the other day and they had nothing but Halloween themed dog outfits. My husband went today and they didn't have dog food toppers. Worst store ever. I wish a PetCo would move into town! We rarely have this issue when we go to PetCo.

Have been bringing my pup in for nail grinding for over a year. Groomers always pleasant and a job well done!

I was very happy with the Bath and brush I had for my dog today. The groomers did a great job and when Josie did not react well to the nail grind they did their best but went with the nail trim. Rather than be upset they assured me she was such a sweet girl. I was very satisfied and recommend the grooming services. Staff were friendly and helpful and kind.

I have three dogs, including an energetic pittbull. The staff has always been friendly and kind to my dogs. Occasionally I bring my older Golden for a bath and trim and all goes well.

We brought our dog in for a very expensive grooming, the works, as she was long haired and scruffy from her previous owner. When my husband went to pick her up they informed him they could not groom her face because she was getting nervous...she is the most mild mannered dog ever and besides, they are "professionals" and supposed to be able to handle things like this. So we now have a shaved dog with the shaggiest, natty head you have ever seen. They told us we could drop her off next week to finish the job. Like I have all the time in the world to drive a very long distance to their store to have them do what a professional should have been able to accomplish in one grooming. What an inconvenience. After they fix the problem next week, I am going somewhere else...

If you're ready to use their groomers: go somewhere actually trained. The old store manager kept everyone in check but the new one seems to find the solutions to be 20% off, call it a day, and then point out you've put in too many complaints due to the groomers harming your dogs. The new one is clearly immature, too young to have a position like she does. I have a puppy mill rescue, and she's a bit of a handful as she hates being touched by anyone, even me. She needs special treatment but it isn't the worst - keep our other dog in line of sight and that's that, she'll be scared but won't have an accident, won't panic, nothing. She just thinks any time she's alone that she's both been abandoned and will be abused again. You have to understand she spent 5 years living in a cage, only being brought out to be bred or beaten. She's a special case. I've explained this countless times, get verbal responses that they understand and will do it, been told they won't be split up, etc, and countless times the store separates them. It isn't just one on a table here and one across the room - it's one dog being bathed in the back while the rescue is being forced by two people to stand, being manipulated and terrorized. I can't tell if it's that they truly don't think it's an issue, that I'm making it up, or that it's a way to get extra money. They stop every time she gets too worked up, charge for what they've done up to that point (like the bath), then recharge a week later when I have to bring her in... now by herself, so she ends up in a worse state. And then the same things are done, like another bath which we definitely don't get for free the second time. This time, they made my dog's tongue turn purple from hyperventilating, put her in a cage, and waited a couple minutes before calling me. This is how Petsmart kills animals, by having assistant managers who think there's no issue with that. My dog actually couldn't breathe and their solution was to just lock her by herself and walk away, then call me after my other dog was being groomed for a few minutes. Maybe I'm wrong, but as I was told that "her tongue turned purple, so we put her in a cage to calm her down and have been working on your other dog for a couple minutes" I do assume they just figured she'd calm down. The store manager also belittled us and told us we were paranoid (even hinting at mental illness) because she refused to admit anything was done wrong, and should not write corporate complaints. There were never any apologies, just a statement that we could've paid an extra $10 to get them worked on together. It seems like another scam for more money (if there's two appointments together, why can't they just be done at the same time?) but I still would've done it, yet after a year and a half of asking for this every month I'm FINALLY told. This last time just showed pettiness too, with one groomer having an attitude with me and arguing about charges (why am I going to pay for a bath twice when I'll have to pay for it again in a week, and I didn't ask for it by itself?), and another knowing my dog does not like people but literally picking her up and carrying her out as she visually shut down with her eyes squeezed shut, trembling and looking like she wanted to die. I'm not sure if they were trying to make us both more upset, or just can't pick up on canine distress. Aside from this, I've had my other dog be cut more than once - once so deeply on her vagina she whimpered when she went outside for a few days, and we only found out about it when we found blood on the seat. Now the store manager is telling us we are not allowed to bring the dogs back because they're too much, even though the one normal dog is 100% fine and loves her groomer. Then in the next breath the manager is saying her groomers are completely trained and can handle anything. But honestly, it'

Very poor customer service. Tried to get them to clip my dogs nails. Experienced nothing but problem after problem. Then they had the nerve to accuse me of not paying for the service.

They don't do well with older dogs. My dog is prone to infection due to Cushings and obviously cleanliness is a problem for them. They have no patience since my dog has a back problem and he gets tired of standing. After many years taking him there, they refused service.

In another trip I made later to this store, I was able to actually interact with an employee this time at the register. I brought several items including two "tug of war" dog ropes. I like it when the employee realizes and tells me that there's a sale going on when the shelves for these ropes weren't clearly marked as such. She told me that for the price of two ropes, I could get a third one absolutely free - nice benny! I liked that so much, I decided to donate a few dollars to PetSmart Charities(who apparently donate to other animal-specific charities). This process was also fairly simple. The employee was fairly helpful and helped mention to me stuff that wasn't clearly marked. I know it won't be that long, but between these two experiences, it would be enough to tell people that this place is okay to utilize.
