Id like to be as fair as i can be with my experience today.... I came here looking for HEADER Material( for install of a 6 ft door)..2 people at the counters knew not what i was talking about..I then go down the isle and encounter 2 more male employees who had no clue what i was speaking of but in fairness tried to help although both a bit nervous,stating.."They just started working there"...It was then that i felt a little bad for both ,knowing people are being hired with no expertise in the field at all and seemingly no training on what they are selling...They are just glorified price checkers....Bottom line:I took it upon myself to explain to one of the guys what the material is used for and why....He was very appreciative......LOWES: Spend more time with training...I believe the employees would appreciate knowing what theyre selling!

Don’t ever buy from rosedale lowes,

They delivered damaged lumber, pure junk, none of which I selected,

Lowes now has a policy that they do not need to cut sheetrock to fit on top of a car. As per assistant supervisor in Hicksville "Leonard"... it's done only as a courtesy!!! I guess you have to beg?, because they refused to cut it for me. Home depot always cut sheetrock & plywood for me. I guess I will travel the extra 3 miles in the future, then deal with this type of service. Leonard was rude & obnoxious in explaining the Lowes Policy.. Lowes, you need to hire better management personnel.. What a joke!!

This Lowe's right here , the HICKSVILLE location Lowe's . Needs to have a fire works show right in front of the store with giant blimp floating right above them that reads " WELCOME EVERYBODY " My experience with this Lowe's team was amazing . My guy STAN helped me out he was very knowledgeable and made shopping a lot easier. I didn't get that sense of being rushed at all ; which I totally get turned off from but that was not the case here . Even when I got a lil picky and wanted to refund , repurchase transaction done , they made it that happen smoothly and their just so friendly from the people on floor to the self check out lady asking if everything's alright ? Couldn't ask for more God bless those folks P.s this was a on Wednesday evening

One of the better home good stores I have visited! The floor reps were actually… :drumroll: helpful!!! Especially the gentleman in appliances, extremely courteous and knowledgeable. The store is very nice with just the Christmas decorations alone for sale making it worth to visit. Would definitely come back here all the way from Queens.

I am in and out of big box stores all day to order and pick up materials for my residential Roofing business. Generally, dealing with associates of these stores leaves something lacking, however Paul in the pro section is worth mentioning. He is always available for questions and ready to lend a hand, knows the products he's selling and even gives a call afterwards to confirm the products are pulled and ready to be picked up. It's very refreshing that a store associate actually follows through with something they say verbally. Doing this for 17 years I know he is an asset to your organization and I have pretty much moved fully from HD to Lowes since they have gotten more contractor friendly.

i never write reviews but i do not want this man to go unnoticed . I went to lowes to buy screws . I am one to admit I know nothing about handy work at all. I approached a worker named Russ , he's a veteran and asked him all sorts of questions . The patience this man has is amazing . He worked with me for 10 minutes all while my child was screaming and throwing her toy baby. He is seriously an asset to this company . Thank you Russ

Just to advise everyone if you shop at the Hicksville Lowes to check the prices on your receipts. Today was the 3rd time I was over charged. I was over charged by $40. The other 2 times I caught it at the register, each time I declined to purchase the items in question. Today I happened to look at the receipt before I threw it out. I called the store and was told yes I was over charged (they can pull up the receipt on computer) I had to go back to the store for an adjustment. I was told that the prices are set by the corporate office and they cant change the price. So all the signs and tags with prices on the item do not matter-its what corporate says the price was. I spoke to management and was given a long possible explanation as to how this could possible happen--again this was the 3rd time. That says to me that it is there normal business practice. So shame on me for shopping at this store again.

I'm not usually one to write reviews on some places that get tons of reviews, but in this case I'll make an exception. This Lowe's is on the way home from dropping off my daughter to daycare and I've recently begun to come here for tile and lumber and general stuff for some projects I have around the house. On each recent visit, I've been greeted in the isles with a simple, "good morning, can we help you find something?", many times and usually I don't need any help- but just to get the acknowledgement that you are there and that they are there to assist you goes a long way. When I have needed help with paint for an outdoor grilling station project I've been working on, the people in the paint department have been informative, courteous and friendly. That speaks volumes in this age where people use COVID-19 as any excuse to not be helpful or to do their jobs in so many areas of our economy. I've had great conversation and general knowledge while waiting for paint to mix and I really have enjoyed coming to this store. It's awesome to have a clean, well-lit store with so many helpful staff members to point you in the right direction.

Very disappointed today that my father a Vietnam veteran was denied a veterans discount after showing his VA card because his phone number wasn't in there system. At Home Depot they just check the card thank him for his service and give him a discount.

Ok so how many stars would this be accurate to give, from mixed experiences to other reviews. I'd want to say 2 or something with a 1/2. Depending when you go and who you get. The cashiers could use some etiquette training for sure. 2 recent experiences noted here with equal disdain and only one of them did we get the name of. That being, Joanne. Inept, inappropriate, and inconsiderate to my son. We asked for the My Lowes ID and she was not able to pull it up after 3 times. My son just questioned, as the previous cashier had done it easily. She gave excuse of it being a new system and then replied oh, so I'm the inept one? (well, if the shoe fits) I explained that we had a time frame and had to leave and to just ring up the order. Then my son went an additional time to purchase some things. He asked another cashier if there were any bags as he had many small items in his hand. She replied, do you see any bags? He said please make yourself useful and assist me to get something to put these items in. She said, we don't have any bags. Extremely rude and totally uncalled for by this employee. It left my son, needlessly upset, with her unprofessional poor behavior. When I check through my pocketbook, looking for receipts, there were no less than 6 from Loews done with in a short period of time. I recently went to Home Depot as Lowes no longer does carpet cleaners. While the shelves were not as full, I have got to say, that the people at that Levittown location were really kind and helpful. This noted as stated above, Location of Loews is convenient for us and admittedly there have been a variety of experiences with some of the workers there who were kind and did try to help. Using the Pandemic as a reason, one could flip the coin and realize the stress on the customers as well, along with Isaacs hurricane, power outs, scorching heat and wind, and other frustrations that come along with this current Normal way of living. So, if we are in need and it is easier to go to the close location, yeah, we still will shop to get what we need and have to just put up with it, or adapt and shop elsewhere.
