Don't know how these guys are getting any good reviews. Classic con artist mechanics. I went through a nightmare with them when I had transmission work done. They tried to charge me for a wheel bearing they didn't install and ended up putting the trans mount in backwards. He couldn't even face me like a man when it came time to pay, he sent his girl out instead. They're both crooks and incompetent.

Lost the rear diff in our 7.3 Excursion coming up from Texas to visit. Buff-o-matic had it rebuilt in a week and we were back on the road... has been great ever since. A+ would recommend.

Had transmission issues with my truck and decided to bring it to Sean for the first time. He does amazing work, very fast! Also doesnt charge an arm and a leg for work to get done. I will most certainly be doing business again with them!

I brought my tahoe to buff-o-matic Transmission. As a walk in customer, They were happy to see me right Away. He walked me through what they would do to my transmission, including updated parts. I did not want to drive my truck and cause further damage so they Said I could drop my truck off at that time and gave me a ride home.. I was very happy with the work,the truck was finished in one week and the price was very comparable. I've been driving the truck for over five days now. And it drives like a new truck. Highly recommend Buff-o-matic if you need a transmission rebuild.

Shawn and the whole team at Buff-G-Matic did a great job rebuilding my 2015 Impala transmission. My car has never shifted this smoothly, it's better than new, Shawn took the time to explain all that was wrong with my car, gave me an exact cost and had my car repaired in less than a week, Was it expensive? Absolutely... but cheaper than my dealership quoted and way less than purchasing a new a car. Good people - good company.Service: Transmission

Really impressed and grateful for owner, Shawn's, candor & help with a common Nissan transmission diagnostic failure. We were just past the class action settlement extended warranty for their common issues across their transmission. Shawn heard of our dealer diagnosis and low mileage for a 2016 Altima. He stepped in & gave great advice on how to deal with Nissan USA giving up a shot at a very expensive rebuild . Saved our family a lot of worry & money! First class approach.

I'd give this place negative stars if I could. Had a vehicle repaired here 10 years ago twice 1000 miles between both after the second time I drove to Florida for work it died for a 3rd time there they fixed the same exact problem yet again. That held till I sold it 50,000 miles later. Out of desperation I stopped last week at both shops. Both shops looked deserted and like a dirty junk yard the one person I finally found has no idea where anyone was that knew anything. Oh yeah he was underneath a lifted car beating it with a sledge hammer.Beware of crooked auto shops owners.

We took our daughters 2015 Subaru Forester into Buff-O-Matic for a transmission replacement and the experience was great. They did the diagnostic work, and explained our options. Pricing was in-line with what we received elsewhere, and they also made honest and fair recommendations for each option. After getting her car back we had some issues and they honored the warranty 100%. We would continue to give them our business.Service: Transmission

I just got off the phone with them. He wasn't able to help me with my situation with my transmission, but the time he took to help me, and his honesty and advice was invaluable. If that's the way he treats someone he can't help, I can only imagine how he treats those he can. Kudos!

Don't let these guys work on your car, take it anywhere but here. I wish I could give them less than one star. My car was making a rattling noise when it hit 1500 rpm and the front right wheel was making noises when it hit bumps. I thought it was a problem with the transmission and wheel bearing. I brought it here and agreed to do a transmission diagnosis for $650 and wheel bearing replacement. They told me a few days later that it would cost a little over $7000 to rebuild the transmission, plus more for the wheel bearing. I told them no thank you, I would just sell the car instead. They said it ok, but it would cost another $650 to put the transmission back together, $1300 total just to get my car back in the same condition. They were essentially holding my car ransom and leaving me no option. After a few days of arguing, they lowered the cost by a little over $1000. I agreed because I was sick of arguing with them. When I picked it up, it sounded worse than when I dropped it off. When I told them, they said "no it didn't, we do QC checks". I took it to another mechanic to have it checked. They found that Buffo installed the transmission mount backwards and bolted it in without a rubber bushing, metal to metal, making an excessive amount of noise and vibration that it never made before Buffo worked on it. They charged me for two wheel bearing but only installed one. I would have never known unless I took it to get their work checked. When I told Buffo that, they said "yeah you would have known when you bring it back here in 15,000 miles". They warrantied their transmission work for 15,000 miles. My car still made a rattle at 1500 rpm and the front passenger wheel still made noises when it hit bumps. Turns out it was a rattling heat shield and a strut mount that were making the noises. When I told them I was contacting the BBB, they agreed to refund me for the wheel bearing they didn't install and tried to intimidate me by saying "we will respond to anything you write".

In July 2022, the Buff-O-Matic crew replaced the transmission, torque converter and transmission oil cooler on my 97 Winnebago Class A Motorhome built on a Ford F53 Chassis with an E40D 4-Speed automatic transmission.They promptly completed the repair and were very understanding as they were awaiting the payment while I was tied up in a lengthy financial arrangement with my credit union.On August 26, 2022 I had obtained the financing required, paid off the bill, picked up the Motorhome & drove it home.The new transmission performed flawlessly with quick smooth upshifts and downshifts and all gear changes between park- reverse and drive.I was impressed with this shop, its personnel, facilities and the quality of its service!I can highly recommended this “Buff-O-Matic” transmission service!Service: Transmission

O stars! By far the most dishonest, shady, incompetent business ever. They take advantage of people who need help, stay far away. Pay the money to have your car towed far away to someone with better reviews. Not only did they rip us for thousands, do work that didn't need to be done, they destroyed our truck with bad workmanship, put things together backwards. We had our regular mechanic look at truck after 2nd attempt at repair and he was shocked by what they did and didn't do. They should be shut down before someone has an accident caused by their terrible work. Sent complaint to BBB.
