Went in for the first time yesterday and y’all, I cannot tell you how happy I am with my haircut! Jenny delivered on what I asked for and it’s been a while since I’ve been so satisfied with my hair.
I went from chest-length hair to getting bangs, high layers, and face framing. My hair prior was noticeably thinning above my forehead but now you really can’t tell! Jenny was careful to keep a good balance so that my hair doesn’t look too thin from the layers and asked about my thoughts in between.
Wash, cut, & blow dry was only $22 - that’s a crazy good deal! Will definitely be going to this spot moving forward and recommend it to friends.

Honestly Jenny did a pretty decent job. I came in with super long hair ready for something different. She definitely followed instructions. She also was completely honest with my hair and some suggestions on how to style my hair. Price was only $15. Wait was about 30 mins because it’s only one person. Over all she was nice. Definitely would recommend for a simple hair cut.

Best experience I've ever had! She made me feel really comfortable and kept talking to me to make sure I'm okay and if i like the cut. Hair salons always make me nervous because they're either overpriced or they don't speak english but this lady gave such a caring aura and price was perfect! I tip her well because she was just such wonderful company. I recommend her to all my family members. Only advice I can give you is to call before going in.

Great place. Jenny accepted a last minute job to do my perm. It came out exactly like how I wanted it to. She didn't disappoint and she takes pride in her work. Super reasonable price done in a little over an hour. I got a men's perm and I'll be coming back after my hair straightens out. Bring cash only!

Melody, has to be the unprofessional hairstylist around. I had my hair trimmed by her and she talked a good game of all the wonderful color she could do for me and gave me her contact info. i go to contact her and she doesn't even rem from a few days ago and tells me to go through her salon instead that they have her " schedule " I book an appointment weeks out . I work a lot and trying to get my hair done before leaving out of town. She calls me freaking out while I'm getting ready to leave and they are asking me to get there earlier and I live 50 mins away in other town. You can hear in her voice that they haven't given her enough time and book more people. She never called in the weeks previous to appointment to ask about my hair. i tell them I'm already on the way when I noticed they have been calling me . i show up 10 mins late and drove almost an hour and get turned away and made to feel shamed . Your a crappy person and stylist and have no customer service skills at all neither do the other employees. i will never recommend this place or stylist to anyone. Very unprofessional in every aspect.

Jenny is my go-to stylist. I usually go to her for haircuts and I always love the outcome. She makes sure to listen to my wants and is super friendly and welcoming. I live in the city and go all the way to Queens for her, that should speak for itself. The salon pricing is more than reasonable, you should definitely check her out sometime!

Jenny is great. She listens and also gives helpful tips. The cost of the haircut is also unbelievably cheap. I always come back loving my hairstyle. I would recommed New Melody to anyone who's looking for a pro hairdresser.
