The service that I received was fantastic. It was a simple thing that was being complicated by some crossed wires. Lisa and Stephanie went above and beyond to get my cat's medication refilled. They stayed in touch with me and even went back and forth with me and the pharmacy to make sure we were getting what we needed.

If I could give this place minus stars I would. Worst possible Veternary place in all regards. 1) Place is filthy 2) People who work there are useless. Uninformed, nasty and are not interested in doing what they say they will do. 3) Will make you wait for hours without explanation and then lie about doing evaluations of your pet that they didn't do. 4) My Bill contained fees for things that they did not do for my dog. 5) unless your pet has a life threatening issue amd there are no other doctors anywhere....DO NOT GO THERE. WOSRT VETERINARY CENTER AROUND!!!!!!

The dog was served by Drs. Clemente and Lesser. And especially Lisa (Aunt) the vet tech. She helped us in wound care, saw us each day when we couldn't do the wound care, either. We're very grateful for her knowledge and support. Also note that the dog is from out of town.

Guess who died. Neither faculty told us about a serious heart murmur. We found 6/11 when our pet's record was forwarded to a professional hospital. We lost him, great job to the Farmingdale facility with no doctor on site and Bohemia for all the reasons mentioned. SHAME on both facilities. You earned $5k in blood money. Go somewhere else!!!

I'm so frustrated and disappointed in my vet at Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists. My cat has been treated for small cell lymphoma for 3 years and the oncologist of the group is nowhere to be found. I have been bounced back and forth between their Farmingdale offices with each one telling me he works out of the other office and no longer works at whichever one I call. To make things even more frustrating is the fact that I was called by the vet tech to make an appt. for bloodwork and an ultrasound. I have left numerous messages at both places over last week with no return calls. Needless to say I'm looking for a new veterinarian oncologist. Is there anyone who has a cat in a similar situation that can direct me to one?

This is the worst emergency vet clinic ever. They are unprofessional, don't clean up after animals that come in . Vomit on the floor for other dogs to lick up. I sat there for 2 hours in a waiting room for the receptionist to keep telling me they'd be in soon while my dog was in pain . They never came in and my dog actually got worse while being there , so I left after 2 hours of no one ever coming in to see my dog and wasting my time and taking animal and animal ahead of us . Go somewhere better staffed bc this place is a failure

I was dissatisfied. My dog had a indwelling portal in her bladder which became dislodged during the examination. Beauty eventually died in surgery.g

This place is amazing and low cost. Very caring staff. I would definitely recommend them for any service. We had to put our dog down this morning and the staff was so compassionate. If I could give them 20 stars I would.

We had a 4 pm appointment with Dr. White-Weithers at Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists (ACNYVS) in Farmingdale. The office called us at 2:15 and asked if we wanted to come in early around 3 pm. At that point we had another appointment and could not accept the earlier time. Within about 3 minutes our other appointment cancelled, so we called back and asked if we could still come in early. The receptionist said yes, come in. We arrived at the office around 2:40 and they said they would get us in soon. Among the forms that we were asked to fill out there was one that seemed odd - it basically said that we agree not to yell at become abusive to the staff. After waiting over an hour and a half we were finally brought in to the examination room at 4 pm (our original appointment time) and were told that the doctor was reading our pet's file. At 4:15 there was no sign of the doctor, or anyone else. How long does it take to read a file? A technician popped in to get something from one of the cabinets, so we asked her if it would be much longer. She said she would check, but never returned. By 4:20 we decided to leave. On the way out we advised the personnel at the desk that we were very dissatisfied having been asked to come in early and then waiting over an hour and a half a with the end result being not seeing the doctor or even a vet tech. When they tried to justify the long wait we got a little loud, to make sure everyone in the waiting room could hear our dissatisfaction. They had the gall to remind us that we signed a form and agreed not to yell at the staff. Not for anything, but courtesy goes both ways. We would not recommend this practice unless you are planning to bring a picnic lunch and camp out in the waiting room. And, whatever you do, don't yell at the staff about being rude and wasting your time. Having been asked to sign a statement agreeing not to yell at the staff should have been a red flag of things to come. It appears that they have little regard for their customers and their pets seeking care.

Their website lists emergency care 24/7 but there was a sign on the door that there is a pause on emergency care. They refused to see my cat who was in distress because the vet was there for "regular appointments" only.

So our momma (dog) was not feeling well. She was throwing up and had loose bowels for a couple of days. We called our vet since he was away he referred us to this place. Right away we were told that she was in need of an x-ray to see if something was obstructed. When the x-ray came back a couple of hours later they said they saw some thing there but they couldn't tell if it was food or something else and it would be better to stay overnight and repeat the x-ray in the morning. The next day we got a call saying that it was still in her stomach and the best thing for her would be to have an endoscopy. Then we got a call saying to put the endoscopy on hold let's give her a ultrasound. When they called back with those results they said that she had gas and they couldn't really see with the ultrasound so they were going to have to do the endoscopy anyway. $5500 later we were sent home with eight different medications. After two days she was fine. I decided to stop the meds. I called our vet and he said that what they SHOULD have done in the first place was said "here take this medication see how she does tonight if she's not feeling better bring her back tomorrow". Instead we had to pay over $5500 (because you do whatever is necessary to make sure you loving pet is ok) and in all honesty I feel we were taken advantage of and scammed. It's been seven days we don't have any test results. Our girl is fine, happy, eating. She probably just had a virus (upset stomach) and they put her through unnecessary procedures. Shame on them!!

I can not even begin to say how much gratitude we have for the entire staff at Atlantic Coast New York Veterinarian in Farmingdale. Last Tuesday our small 4 year old Havenese/ShiTzu mix was attacked by a large dog (not sure of the breed) while on a walk. We rushed him to this Hospital and were immediately helped by the doctors and techs. They began working on him and assessing the damage. My dog had so many injuries- one in which caused the tissue in his abdomen to come out. We really didn't think he would make it. Dr. Clemente examined him and told us what he needed to do and that surgery was the only chance we had for Mickey's survival - we trusted him with our baby and told him to try his best to save him. After a 4 hour surgery Dr. Clemente called us to update us on Mickey's injuries. He told us Mickey had multiple puncture wounds, damage to his kidneys, major damage to his intestines and several lacerations throughout his body. Dr. Clemente explained that our baby went through a very traumatic event and that all we can do is wait to see if the surgery was successful but he assured us that the fact that Mickey made it through the ordeal was a positive sign. They kept Mickey comfortable and he had to stay there for the next few days. Each day we went to visit him, the front desk ladies were amazing. So kind and attentive. They were helpful and very understanding. I can not even begin to describe the incredible nursing/tech staff. Each one was absolutely amazing. You can tell that they love their job and that they love animals. They tended to Mickey as if he was their own. They were soooooo incredible with us. They explained everything in detail and met us with so much compassion. They were gentle and kind and just wonderful! They understood how much Mickey meant to us. They gave us so much time to visit with him and even checked on us to make sure we were all ok. Our baby made it out of the hospital!!! These incredible people saved our pup. We can not thank them enough. Dr. Clemente is a miracle worker. What he did for us, we could never repay. Thank you! Thank you to all the wonderful people who helped us throughout this horrific ordeal. Mickey is home resting comfortably right now. We have a long road ahead of us, but thankful that we have him here today.

I took a young kitten here for an emergency visit because my vet was booked up. He wasn't feeling well. The receptionist was friendly and Dr. Cilicia was very knowledgeable. She seemed to really care about his health. The vet tech clearly explained how to give him his medications before I left. The price wasn't too expensive. The kitten is feeling much better already thanks to the staff here.

I was referred here by my vets office. My dog Frankie was sick his sides were distended and he was vomiting. We arrived and all seemed to be normal. We filled out the paperwork spoke to one vet who gave us what he recommended for treatment . He then said that he would have the emergency vet see him and take over. We waited and then spoke with the vet that had taken over. He explained what treatments he recommended. He produced an estimate with the different proposals. Everything seemed fine. The dr said go speak to the receptionist to leave your "deposit" . We went to the front desk and have the girl the proposal. She proceeds to tel us that the entire balance is due. I said we were told a deposit was to be paid not the whole balance. She then calls back to the dr. She says to the dr that we had a problem with the bill which was not the case the problem was with what was said DEPOSIT not TOTAL BALANCE. The girl tells the dr that they can take off some procedures to lessen the bill. The dr comes up to the desk and I speak with him again . He refers to their policy, however looking at the proposal it has DEPOSIT listed he refers to the balance as if I were purchasing a car that's a deposit. He then said I didn't have to come back just pay with a credit card over the phone. I called not even an hour later after thinking about everything that happened and told the front desk receptionist that we were coming to pick him up and take him elsewhere not to do anything. She said fine I'll let the dr know. We arrive and wait for the dr to come in and explained to him that after thinking about the way the conversation went with regards to referring to my Frankie as a car deposit and the receptionist saying to take procedures off to lessen the bill. I was uncomfortable and didn't feel like his best interest was at heart. The dr was a opted and left the office manager Brittany came in and I again explained what had happened and she clearly said that " their deposit is the balance in full" I explained that when you come to an emergency place that everything should be clear not deposit and then expect the client to have so much money on them to pay up front. Your on autopilot to have treatment to get your fur baby back to health . She explained she was aware of the situation. I asked if you were aware why didn't you call to make sure everything was fine rather than assuming. Her answer was I was coming back to pay the bill. After telling her I was told by their dr to just call and pay over the phone she had nothing to say. When she left the room she slammed the door so hard the glass in the window shook. That was not very professional at all. I would never bring my Frankie near this place again. Warm and inviting anything but. They are about the money not about the health of your pet from my experience.very disappointed that o was referred here.
