The rooms smelled strongly of mildew. If they’re able to dehumidify the rooms and do a thorough ozone cleaning to kill the existing mold, it would be much more pleasant. It’s important for hotels to continually run the A/C or a dehumidifier to ensure moisture and mold don’t build up when the rooms are vacant.
Rooms: Need to be treated for mildew. Smells strongly of mold and humidity is really high.

Place seemed very culty. I was afraid I might not leave. Staff were nice but suspicious... seemed very empty and eerie the whole time.
Rooms were dusty but great view.
Nice seeing the abandoned Nevele Grand hotel which we explored the next day. Ask for a south facing view.
Food was sub-par, property was beautiful.

Honor's Haven is located in the heart of the Catskill Mountains just a 5 minute drive on Rt. 209 from Ellenville NY. It is reminiscent of some of the stately resorts that once propagated this beautiful tourist region. The entrance is quite modern and elegant and the rooms were clean and well maintained. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, indoor courts for tennis, volleyball, badminton or basketball. A small lake is on the property, but the hotel does not offer any boat rentals. There are a few hiking trails close by, one leading to a peaceful waterfall. There is a spa connected to the hotel but we did not take advantage of this service. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. There was an elaborate breakfast buffet with a lot of choices. Only a couple of caveats - the hotel does not supply things like shampoo, hair dryers, shower caps or body wash. Tiny bars of soap that dissolve in your hands are not very useful. There is also a musty smell in the hallways and in the courts - maybe related to a past flooding problem. Overall a very nice hotel in a perfect location.

We just had a 2 night church retreat and just checked out today. The rooms are clean, the amenities are great but got very disappointed with the food that they served. It was too bland and tasteless. We expected at least that they would serve meat but there was only chicken. I understand that they’re promoting healthy food. However, they should at least serve more meat for proteins like beef. The servers were nice. Overall it was a beautiful place but just got disappointed with the food they served.

Overall, we had a great time and are looking forward to going back for a retreat we are hosting in the fall.
The staff was pleasant to work with. They seemed happy to be there. For us, the charm of Honor's Haven was that is it Earth centric. This theme runs through how the property is managed and the people working there.
Our J-suite was very nice and comfortable. We had a great view overlooking the pond and forest.

My wife and I had our wedding reception here in October 2012, and it was PERFECT - now we're spa pass members and go for the great spa, gym, pool, and hiking trails! We love this place ?

Nice, cool, serene atmosphere tucked in a quaint beautiful neighborhood which seemingly has a harmonious relationship with mother nature. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the tranquil atmosphere helps you to relax and reset your body's busy schedule to one of total relaxation. Such a beautiful place with a lot of activities to push boredom away and great for your physical health. Healthy sumptuous meals to partake of. My weekend at Honors Haven was splendid.

I'm only reporting what I seen, or Experience. We were greeted by very friendly crew members, very attentive to the group, kids. The facilities look run down around the Exterior, old dorms or campus, but hey we were only on day trips, so dorm didn't matter for us,
Safety: Secluded in the woods and gated fences

Walkability: If there are good routes to walk and explore nature...
Food & drinks: Regarding the food... I don't know if it's a package you choose... but I got the buffet. All good
