FOR TRANSPARITY: My BILL was $5,100!
My cat was held overnight for two nights, had x-rays and ultrasounds, IV fluids and prescription medications. She did NOT have any surgeries.
This place did save my cat’s life. She was very sick, wouldn't eat or drink. I took her to Banfield initially, but they didn’t have the tools needed. They prescribed her an antibiotic and sent her home. I knew she wasn’t going to make it, so I brought her to this emergency hospital. She was diagnosed with Triaditis. I am thankful she is doing better now ❤️ the vets and techs were very informative. Front desk personnel were not very friendly at all.
Dogs and cats only no exotics accepted at this hospital.

I've been meaning to write this and I haven't had the time until now. I must say the staff at the VMC of CNY are the most caring and empathetic group I have ever met. The care they took for my sick cat was top notch. They not only made me feel comfotable bringing my cat in but the time a patience they had with my cat made me feel even more at ease bringing her there. Even though it was a busy Saturday at the emergency vet, they kept me updated on everything that was going on.
Dr. Fleckenstein is a thorough, compassionate veterinarian and you can tell she is so passionate about what she does. Thank you all for taking care of my cat when she was sick! You are all so amazing and appreciate everything you're all doing!

this place is ridiculous. Had to pay 409 before they would look at our dog. then told treatment would be 3 to 5 thousand dollars for treatment. Our puppy had swallowed a trazadone pill. we also had to pay 95 dollars to poison control so the vet could talk to them! we said we could not pay 3 ton5 thousand dollars. they wanted to keep him for 3 days. finally an alternate treatment eas offered. we took that plan and it was 6 600. The7 gave him an antidote and so.ething so lower his heart rate and BP. had to stay up all night and monitor him. By morning he was fine. took him to our vet and it was confirmed fully recovered. guess he didn't need thattention. 5 thousand dollar treatment. I give them credit with giving him an antidote but I think the three day several thousand dollar quote was just playing off our emotions and taking advantage of our love for our pet. Saw other things there that were disturbing as far as what they charge. I do think they take advantage of people who r going through something so emotional.

We caught intestinal tumor early in our 10 you black lab mix and they accepted our consult within a week, and that consult came with a spot for surgery- if - that is what was still recommended AND we agreed.
Jamie, on intake, was amazingly helpful to ensure we secured the appointment quickly and understood what was happening. **i ask ALOT of questions. Good questions, but that can be annoying- and I never felt that I was annoying her. This continued for the rest of the encounter - everyone was compassionate and patient.
Dr St Germaine was also amazing. She understood his case BUT ASKED ME for some details to sharpen her perspective which I assume, clarified her recommendation. And she was SPOT ON.
She did what she said, called when she said she would and made sure the experience we talked about, was what we had.
I did feel a little rushed to get Shiloh out of there, and we shall see how that decision plays out. But honestly, the emergencies the hospital was dealing with just while I was there to check on my boy - may God bless them, it was nonstop.
And everyone was seen and heard.
Because we are over an hour away, followup will be with our primary vet, but even that was encouraged by the surgeon.
For an emotional and traumatic experience as this was, every interaction with thos hospital was beyond my expectations. We are thankful for the people, we prayed (and will keep doing so!) For everyone as we headed into this experience and on the other side.
God is good, and he uses good people to do good things and help us bring comfort to each other.
Truly, I felt comfortable 'handing over' MY BOY, my whole heart, into their care. And everyone was just so supportive and understanding of the emotions involved.
THANK YOU
Shiloh's Mom & family

We arrived for an 11:30 appointment on time. Our dog has anxiety issues (which we informed them of) so we were escorted into a room right away. Then we waited... and waited. A tech finally came in, followed by a vet, who left after a quick discussion. We then waited... and waited some more, finally having our new very stressed dog taken back around 1:15. I give 4 stars only because one of the techs was very good with our dog, and with us. My past experiences here all involved emergency situations, and the care was awesome. It was very unfortunate that a dog with anxiety & stress issues was made to wait so long, exacerbating her issues.

Dr. Rassnick and his team are great and took great care of my pet. Had to transfer my dog here for a few oncology appointments. Dr. Rassnick and Jessica were easy to contact and took the time to answer all of our questions

Took my dad's dog there because no vet was taking animals and she was dizzy. Paid up front. Sat there for 4 hours and never brought our dog back. When we could not afford the tests they wanted to do, they said you should think about putting her down. When we get her back and she was all wet will pee on one side. They said they were taking care of her and we very rude to us. Now she is dead on the way to only vet appointment we could get. Do not go there. They care more about the money than the animals.

We needed emergency veterinary care for our Irish Wolfhound recently. We found Veterinary Medical Center of CNY and after a phone call we knew it was the right choice. From the moment we arrived, we knew our beautiful Bailey was in the best hands. After a minimum amount down, they kept us posted and sought approval before going forward with any tests or procedures. No surprise large bill when done. The staff was beyond wonderful as we progressed through Baileys’ care. They remained supportive and understanding through a very difficult time. The compassion we received from those involved in Baileys’ care was genuine and heartfelt, and the staff caring for the others there in their care were also acknowledging of our heartache as could sadness on their faces was obvious.
If you ever have the misfortune of needing emergency veterinary care for your furry loved ones, this is the place to go.

Took our Long Hair Chihuahua in for a lame leg. We were told it would be a 2 hour wait. We were seen in under an hour. Poor guy needs surgery. Just know, this place is expensive. It was $230 just to be seen.

We had to make an emergency midnight trip here. They stayed open for us and we had to come from 2 hours away. Once we arrived, they were compassionate, professional, and treated our family member like their own. Unfortunately, she did not survive, but the vets and vet techs are absolutely amazing.
