One of the most gentle & caring vets I have come across & I never think twice about leaving my pets in her care. Additionally, she will not push the unnecessary treatments or expensive tests that other local vets default to.

We could not be happier with the care Dr Hansen has provided our dog over the years. We had been going to another vet that was overcharging us and not accurately diagnosing the issue and refused to try other treatments. One visit to Spring Grove and he was diagnosed and put on the proper diet and medicine. And for WAY less money than the other vet! She is the most knowledgeable and caring vet ever! Highly recommend!!!

Dr. Hansen is wonderful. She not only diagnosed my dog's infection over the phone, her office called the next day to see how my "baby" was doing, and by the next day my little girl was taken in for emergency surgery. I'm taking all my future pets to her for treatment. It's obvious that her love of animals is more than love of the almighty dollar.

Absolutely wonderful. I recently switch to Dr. Hansen from another local vet who seemed more interested in getting us out the door as quickly as possible than caring for my dog. That was not the case at Spring Grove- our intake interview, annual checkup, and vaccinations took over an hour and it was clear that the priority was to make sure my dog received the best possible care. Dr Hansen made it clear that I could call with concerns at any time, and even offered flexibility on appointment times so we could come in when other dogs would not be present. I never would have found Spring Grove without the recommendation of a friend, but I am so glad that I did.

My favorite thing about Dr. Hansen is the thoroughness with which she explains your treatment options. You'll never leave the office without a complete understanding of your animal's state of health. She even types out a "report card" which outlines the findings of the visit, so you don't have to struggle to remember the details of what you discussed. And she'll never rush you out the door.

Dr. Hansen is the most thoughtful, knowledgable, skilled, talented, and compassionate veterinarian I have ever seen. She recently took a very sick kitten home with her so she could care for it throughout the night. Not only did she offer medical care, but she took the time to gently hold and stroke the animal so that it would know that it was loved and cared for. Dr. Hansen truly loves animals and cares for them above and beyond the call of duty. Dr. Hansen offers services often below market value because she wants you to be able to afford to care for your animal(s) and never have to put one down because the cost of care was exorbitant. You may pay a little more for medicines because she doesn't have the volume to order in bulk. I think that's fair. Dr. Hansen takes a lot of time in exams and on the phone with clients to talk about their concerns and what is going on with their pet (and even though they don't teach it in vet school, she's also spot on with behavioral issues and advice). She offers this to everyone, but obviously has to prioritize, so if your pet's situation is not urgent, you may have to wait a while for a call-back. But, rest assured, when it's your turn with an urgent pet situation, you are at the top of her list. Highly recommed Spring Grove Animal Hospital.

Dr. Hanson is a great Dr. She is caring not only to your pet but to the owner as well. She once operated on my Lab who had cancer. Although she gave me no guarantees she did her best and Autumn lived another 7 1/2 years. She called me from Hawaii a few years back on Christmas because she wasn't there for me when I had to have my cat put down due to illness. I can go on and on but if you want a Great Vet at a fair price, this is where to go.
