I had a reservation weeks in advance, showed up and there's a sign that the location is temporarily closed. I received no notification, I even received a confirmation email just couple days before. Extremely inconvenient. This location has really gone downhill ever since COVID, I had been using it for years. At this point I don't think I'll come back and just got to the West Babylon one in the future.

I've used Hertz at this location twice in the past, years ago.
This time has been a nightmare and now im at a loss.
I need a rental via my insurance while my car is repaired.
I was told I'd get a call from Hertz in 4 hours to set it up... 48 hours ago.
I call and call and no one answers or I get sent to a full voice-mail box.
I need my rental in a few days and now I don't know what to do.
Go somewhere else or at least a different location.

This company signs you up for some 3rd party ez pass protection and doesn’t tell you about it and then after returning my rental at 8am on 1/24/24 they gave the car to someone else who racked up a bunch of travel charges over bridges in the afternoon and are trying to get me to pay for it when I didn’t have the car. Now they want me to prove I didn’t have the car. Luckily I took a bunch of coworkers out to lunch that day and paid for it and also got gas all done in MY car but now I don’t know how to get the the time I only have my credit card statements. I didn’t choose this company in the first place the insured guys insurance company picked them for my rental but I’ll never use this company again.

Definitely not recommend this place, I have calling them like a month because they didn’t returned my 200$ deposit, and they never answer the phone, and the million operators options that they have never gave me a truly response.

Local branch raised insurance quote on me for the same class of car rental then what was originally quoted to me from hertz website!.... Was told even tho same class of car however b/c it was a toyota hertz was giving me the insurance was going to be $3 more a day. Bad practice watch out!!!!

After being faithful customers for over a year we are done. We are in agreement with the folks who wish they could give zero stars.I always make my rental car reservations through Expedia. I have done so and used hertz for more than a year without issue. Yesterday we were late to pick up our vehicle. As a result, we were told that the vehicle was rented to another customer, and that h nothing for us. We were late… Because life happens… And we accepted that our car was given away. I went back on Expedia and made another reservation for the next day. This time we were on time to pick the car up. It seems as though be cause whoever is in charge these days does not want to honor the rates given by Expedia. This time we were told simply that the vehicle we reserved through Expedia was unavailable, but they would be happy to give us another vehicle, which of course would be more expensive. This makes no sense. And this information was portrayed to us in a very rude fashion. The rest of the conversation did not go well. In short we will not be back to Hertz. I’d rather go to enterprise and pay $100 more or use Turo. At least I know I will receive appropriate customer service and the rates that I was quoted online. Why do you even pop up on Expedia if you’re not going to honor the rates? I feel strongly that there may be new management in this place. But I really don’t care cause I’ll never be back. I’m also sure that this review will have or no impact on the business because nobody has any standards anymore. Be warned: this Deer Park location is not a place to do business with. They are rude liars.

The worst what’s the point of making a reservation to get there and they tell you there’s no vehicles are available. Employee was very rude it’s like he didnt want to rent me a car. He stated he doesn’t care about complaints when I advised I will be making a complaint. If I could’ve gave 0 stars I would have.

I wish I didn’t have to give any stars at all—I will never recommend or patronize this particular hertz again. It’s so unfortunate because I’ve always used this particular location and never had any issues. They have a new guy there by the name of Jarrod, who is very obtuse. My body shop Sansone Auto Body, whom my family and I have been a customer for years—set me up with a rental from Hertz’s in Deer Park NY. My vehicle was in the shop for a longer period than anticipated because the insurance company was dragging their feet—So I needed the rental a little longer. I went back to the Deer Park location to renew my rental contract and Jarrod refused to re-rent the vehicle to me. He left me stranded without a ride and didn’t offer me a ride or cab at all. However, once I checked my credit card I saw he had over charged me. Please Beware Of Your Credit Card with him. He scammed my card for an additional 750.00 dollars. He pretends to be a nice guy but he’s a classic Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Remember, BEWARE of Jarrod at the Hertz located at 480 Commack Rd. Deer Park New York.

Needed a car to replace my existing Hertz rental that was a “hit & run”. All anyone told me was…there are no cars, there are no cars! Peter, the district manager answered the Deer Park phone when I called. He listened and assured he could find a replacement. He did, called it in, put my name and contract #on the key for Monday morning. On Monday I picked up with Matt, who was also terrific. Thank you to these guys who really helped me out!! I would def recommend them! Thank you

I got to the location 5 minutes before my reservation and they didn't have the car. They suggested I drove 40 mins to another county to pick it up, mind you, I had taken an uber to Hertz. I took whatever car they had there, the guy just handed me the key and didn't personally show me the car. The car had garbage and empty bottles. The gas tank only had 1/4 and not 1/2 so I requested they wrote a note stating this. At the end of the day they sent me an email saying the car I had originally reserved had arrive and that I could pick it up next day. On the next day when I called to switch cars, the guy on the phone said that they had realized that the car had a tire issue. At the end of the second day, they told me I could go on the next day to make the switch, so I told him I would be there at 8am. The next day (3rd day) I arrived at 8:05, stayed until 8:35am, and they never opened. When I family got on the phone with someone, they said they couldn't figure out who was supposed to open the store that day..... this situation was the only getting the car, they also messed my extension, etc
