This place is Overhyped. Don’t get your sandwich here much better places in Croton for way cheaper.Chicken cutlets are always rubbery. If you ask for a hot sandwich, you WILL GET IT COLD. When you do get it hot it taste like its been nuked in a microwave for way too long. Bacon is 100% reheated from god knows when.

Their rare roast beef, alone, is worth the trip. Made in house and almost always super rare. Incredibly tasty and thinly sliced, it's like a little slice of meat heaven. The olive selection is outstanding. Mix and match your favorites. The place isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. Service is always friendly. This place gets very busy around lunchtime during the week. Budget some wait time if you go during a high traffic period.

A&S Deli Croton on the Hudson is wonderful! I'm in TN and wanted to order meals for relatives who live in Ossining, NY.Calling long distance to order something special and hoping those on the other end are pleasant and trustworthy can go either way. My experience was incredible! Paul, the owner, and Edgar, David, everyone who answered the phone are all sweet, competent, and determined to deliver a great product and with care. I so appreciate the A&S Deli.

Always fresh, great sandwiches, and a great place to order catering for a party. A&S catered a party for me and everything was top notch! Not to mention great service as well. Awesome place, Croton is lucky to have it!

Stopped by to grab a sandwich to take to the Gorge, and I thought the store was delightful! I wish I’d been able to carry more, so I could have taken some of the pastas and dry goods home to Brooklyn. The bread was fabulous, and this sandwich is light years better than a rather sad caprese sandwich I got at Eataly this week. Kudos to the packaging, as no oil leaked on my two mile walk to the Croton Gorge Park. (Side note: avoid what I did and take a cab to the hike! Drivers are very fast around the curves and there is no shoulder at parts.)

Great Italian "pork store" from the old days in the Bronx, but better. Fresh mozzarella, ravioli, meats, hot table and other prepared foods. I recommend the peppers & sausage wedge with provolone.
