Makeup was very nice, but was shocked at the (lack of) and negative customer service. Makeup artist barely said hello to me. In the middle of getting my makeup done, the air was so tight, I even asked if she was upset at me. She said no. Although the makeup was nice I will not go back there, nor recommend it to someone who's looking for their makeup artist to acknowledge and smile at them.
Update after owner responses to my comment: No this is not a fake review, this is real. I am real. You even contradicted yourself when you said you had to let someone go (so clearly i didnt make up this story. I wouldn't do that to hurt someone's business).

It was ok. Not excellent. Got blow out by marishka. Wasn't anything special. It was $45 for blow and flat iron. Pricey for this service. I usually go to Beny's Hair Salon on Spruce Street. They do an excellent job, I couldn't get an appointment there, so I decided to go to Beauty Bar instead. And it was eh. At Beny's it is $32 for a blow out and they blow ur hair pretty straight and if u want a touch of flat iron they don't normal charge me extra. Been going to Beny's for two plus years now. I love it! I won't be going back to Beauty Bar for hair, they don't even use a nosle for the hair dryer. Very not professional. Very basic. Anyways, it's not awful. Just not great. Doesn't meet my expectations of a blow out. Use ur judgement. Everyone had their own expectations and how they like their hair, so u may like the job. I didn't.

Absolutely awful. I went here to get my hair done as I was in town from abroad for a friends wedding and she arranged it for me. First when I walked in the receptionist totally ignored me when she decided to acknowledge me she was extremely rude, unfriendly and frankly stuck up. When the hair stylist came to me and we discussed what I wanted she told me she didn't like that idea and she would prefer to do what she wanted and I could change it later!!! She was totally obnoxious! Needless to say it looked horrendous. And at the end they told me it would be $100!!! never have I been somewhere that was so expensive and so rude! Terrible from start to finish. Do yourself a favour and stay away.

These are all fake reviews. We looked in our computer system and these people have never been to Beautybar 504. We have been in business for 28 years. That says a lot. We treat our clients like family.

I unfortunately didn't have a good experience either with Beauty Bar. I came in to have my makeup done for my engagement party. The makeup artist didn't let me look in the mirror until she was done with my face. By that time I hated how I looked and left the salon so disappointed. She also wasn't complimentary at all, and didn't make me feel at ease.
Avoid this salon if you can. Pay a little more elsewhere with better customer service and healthier vibes.

Horrendous experience. Zero stars if I could. The day of our marriage the workers there were beyond obnoxious to the bride and her 91 year old grandmother on her special day. Their reputation as some of the worst customer service around is well deserved

I'm writing this in 2017 but i received service back in March 2014. I would hope that the people who are giving negative reviews are fake reviews because the service I received and the person (I can't remember her name)was wonderful. I schedule an appointment on Saturday. Although they are close on Saturday she accommodated me and opened her shop and did my makeup for my baby shower. Turned out beautifully & she was sweet, polite and funny. 5 stars for me. It's unfortunate if you all did have a very bad experience.
