I've had the pleasure of banking with NBT Bank in Canastota, NY, Seneca Turnpike for the past three years, and I can't speak highly enough of the exceptional service provided by the manager, Amanda. Her dedication to making customers feel welcome and addressing any concerns goes above and beyond. I genuinely believe she deserves recognition and possibly a raise for her outstanding commitment to customer satisfaction. This bank is shady don't do business with them!!! I've had to report them to the better business bureau. I have a personal loan with them and when I tried to pay it off the stated it's my fault that the account information I gave them was incorrect when in fact it's their phone lines that skip while talking. They continue to charge me interest on my loan while they "looked into it". They also messed up my credit while they were supposedly looking at the issue. They did NOT call back when they stated they would which caused the payment to be "late" which accumulated more interest even though I tried to handle this situation long before payment was even due. They refuse to allow customers to speak to a manager and their customer service representatives shouts at you and will try to talk over you. I am warning everyone not to do business with this company.

The Tellers are friendly and I have never had an issue with them. I opened my account after moving from another state in July and enjoy their services.

If I could give less than one star, I would. This bank is full of incompetency and crooks. Don't bother to try to deposit 3rd party student loan checks, or your own for that matter. And if the account gets over drafted, even if it is not your fault, they will just keep trying to suck money out of you. Closing the account is a nightmare, and getting them to remove unjust fees they put on your account is even worse. You are better off entrusting your money to a boozy hobo.
