Came here because my local market was out of Grass -Fed steak and found a gem! The staff was so helpful and everything was of the highest quality. Whole Animal Butcher, all grass fed and loads of great product like sausages, pork, lard, beef liver, chicken. Highly recommend!

Everything I've tried here so far has been very good, bacon, varous sausage, pimento cheese, chili, coconut curried beef... I'm looking forward to trying the steaks. Thank you.

I have just eaten my first piece of meat after being vegetarian for 6 years and I could not have asked for a better experience than what I had with The Meat Hook! They were understanding of my hesitancy, and very open/explicative about their family farm practices and methods, as well as in the butcher shop. I highly value the community I met there, both in the employees and the regular customers. I also highly value their practices of using the entire animal and making use out of each part! The friendliness and understanding I got there made the process of reintroducing meat as positive as I could’ve asked for. I will definitely be a regular customer!

I’ve purchased meat here twice. First, a knowledgeable butcher suggested a sirloin. My friends were hysterical about how tender and delicious it was. Then, I asked for a lamb recommendation. Another knowledgeable butcher suggested lamb chops and lollipops. Once again, my guests were doubled over in hysterics about how well the lamb turned out.A proper meal consists of good food prepared well. I wouldn’t have been able to reach the same effect with lesser meat. Meat Hook, you’re 2 for 2 and have made one happy customer.

Absolutely love this butcher. They don't just offer quality, locally sourced cuts of meat, but a plethora of different produce, dairy and other natural products. I appreciate that it feels like a community of people behind the counter who know the shoppers and help them navigate food decisions. They do seem to have limited options at the beginning of the week as they get their deliveries mid week. Overall it has become a regular staple of my shopping sources and I look forward to seeing what they have to offer in the upcoming seasons.

Amazing butcher/grocery store. Produce is great quality. Cannot recommend the sausages enough, trying to taste them all, you really cannot go wrong here. The potato salad is also insanely good.

I recently visited The Meat Hook, a renowned butcher shop known for their commitment to sourcing grass-fed beef and farm-fresh ingredients. While I was excited to try their beef stock, I must say that I was left disappointed by the lack of flavor and the steep price tag of $14.99.The beef stock tasted more like water than a rich and flavorful stock. I was expecting a robust and nourishing broth, but instead, I was met with a bland and watery consistency. It lacked the depth and richness.While I appreciate The Meat Hook's commitment to sourcing grass-fed beef and their dedication to supporting local farms, I cannot recommend their beef stock you might as well go to the supermarket and get organic beef stock for those seeking a truly flavorful and nourishing bone broth experience, I would suggest exploring other options.

I have been living in my neighborhood in Williamsburg Brooklyn NY since 1996. I seldom would go to a butcher shop, to get my meats, as I would go the supermarket in my neighborhood or in the city and get my groceries and meats there. Ever since Covid Times I started to go to Meat Hook on Graham Ave. My first visit there, I was so pleased to see the selection of meats that they carry there. I was also shocked to see all the produce, fruits and vegetables that they carry. I love Spices , so was one happy camper to be able to purchase additional spices for my spice collection,as I religiously use spices when cooking my dishes. I continue to shop at Meat Hook, even up till now,as they are a Lifesaver for me. I recently had to cook an Italian dish, Chicken Cacciatore for my niece Goddaughter Nena on Thanksgiving Day I had purchased five chicken legs and thighs for my meal. The meat was so fresh and tender, I was so pleased, in hence , my dish was excellent. My niece commented , as to the quality of my meats, as she was there while I was cooking this meal. I also purchased ground pork and beef, Lamb Sausage, Steak Tenderloin which was most excellent when I sauteed it with onions. I was in heaven eating that meal On occasion I buy their Italian Sweet Sausage as it is delicious.... Whenever in this neighborhood come by and check out Meat Hook, you will be pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend this Butcher Shop,for the quality and freshness of the meats sold here,as well as the fruits and vegetables.

Absolutely dope butcher shop. Service was perfect, they event have fresh vegetables and other ingredients for you to cook with. Bought the stew meat to make a giant homemade pot of stew for the week, it was delicious. The quality of meat makes a huge difference and if you have never tried before I highly recommend trying it.

I bought chicken breast from here tonight and cooked it an hour ago. By far the most fresh and flavorful chicken I've ever cooked - I'm genuinely blown away by the quality. Credit to you all!
