I would only go here for a pedicure. I got next gen nails here two weeks ago and they have not lasted well.
When I was getting them done, I had asked to nail tech to make my nails smoother but she left them kind of bumpy. See picture. And overall, she didn’t do a great job because one of my nails just came off and it’s already lifting in some places. In the picture you could see my hair stuck under the nail. I can’t even finger comb my hair anymore. The next gen is lifting from a couple of my fingers.
This has never happened to me honestly. Usually my nails last 5-6 weeks before chipping.
Price is $40 but I would not go back.

Love the work that Sonny (or Sunny) does on me. This was my 3rd time having my nails done at H&Q Spa in Greenpoint and i was very hapoy about them. 2 chrome gel colors for $45 which is very affordable in my opinion

My favorite nail salon in the area. Have been going to them for years and every time they are welcoming and I get exactly what I asked for. Very fair prices and very clean environment.

Incredible service and very reasonable prices. Sammy is a wonderful mail tech and gives great shoulder massages too! Only $53 for gel manicure and pedicure and they use hot stones on your calves during your pedicure! I'll never go anywhere else, so happy I found this place!

Horrible nail service and unsanitary. BEWARE. I walk in to do my nails for SNS powder. My nail tech began to do my nails. I notice all the employees have gloves but not her. Her co worker notices my look and tells my nail tech in another language to go put on gloves. She does this with hesitation and washes her hands in the foot spa chair before applying gloves. ABSOLUTELY FUCKING DISGUSTING. Then, I asked for a lavender SNS color. The nail tech told me they didn't have any purples. I ended up choosing a creamy white color. The nail tech put literally only 2 coats where it was barely noticeable. I asked her if she can make it darker. She said ok. Then I see her reach for the final coat gel. I ask her again are we done? Is this the final color? She says yes and looks confused. I get the guy who works there to explain to the nail tech that the nail model looked darker and on my nails it looks like there's barely any nail polish/powder. He tells me the nail models look always darker. Already annoyed, I ended up saying ok and picking a white color because I am a person that doesn't really like to complain. He gets me a white powder. The nail tech begins to do my nails. This time she does it aggressively and cutting my skin. Doesn't even apologize. After she finishes applying nail color I see there's red marks on my nails. I tell her to wipe it off and she looks confused then tells me she doesn't see anything. Another employee comes over and tells her there are red marks and now she needs to apply a white based gel as a add on. Already frustrated I tell her I'm not paying for this. They tell me no worries you don't pay. The nail tech ends up doing this gel to a point my nails feel heavy and hurting from all the damage, removing, and addings. She ends up finishing the job sloppily. Polish all my fingers and uneven shaping. It looks like a child did it.

The best and only place I’ll go for the past 3 years! Sunny is the best. Everyone is friendly, accommodating, and quick. They’ll squeeze you in if you need a last minute appointment and the entire salon is always spotless.

The girl who did my nails cut them SO SHORT when I asked her to just try to match my nail which had recently broken (but was still not like EXTREMELY short.) She was really harsh around my cuticles. She also was super weird and short with me, she didn’t give like a hand massage with lotion, I had to ask for lotion after she said she was done with my gel manicure. It was super weird considering my friend next to me got a back massage and hand massage. Generally got really bad vibes from this woman, very strange!

I’ve been to at least 5 or 6 nail salons in Greenpoint and this was by the best. Such great service here and very relaxing, calm energy — no bad club music or suffocating fumes. Sami and Alex have great skills and very kindly fixed a couple of my nails for me when they were still drying. Highly recommend!!
