The “manager” Adan, has absolutely no idea how to do his job. I’ve never seen a manager could do so little in their position. The young girl at the register initially was extremely rude and argumentative, even speaking over her “manager”. Tried to use a coupon that was valid, verified all the requirements through the app, with Adan and he just shrugged and offered no solution, complete waste of a managerial position honestly. This is why I don’t ever shop at Family Dollars. Terrible customer service, not sure who does the hiring process but they are horrible at their job as well.

If I can give a 0 star I would. Last night on 7/30/23, I bought 2% milk from Family Dollar in Brentwood on Suffolk Ave across from McDonalds. There was very little milk in the refrigerator so I bought the 2%. I came home and my son opened the milk for his cereal while eating it he said mommy this milk is sour. I looked at the date and I could not believe the date said May 22, 2023. I looked at the time they were about to close but I called at least 4 times but no one answered. On 7/31/23 I went back to the store with the container of milk with my receipt. I did pour out the milk last night but my receipt showed proof I was there the night before and that I purchased 2% milk. I walked in a young lady spoke and said Hi I said Hi can I speak to a manager. She called her manager. The manager asked to ask me what I wanted. I replied that’s unprofessional she should come and see what I want. The girl repeated what I said and then says to me, the manager said can you give her five minutes. While waiting another girl came up front I asked is she the manager she said she’s another manager. So this is when it got worse!! I explained to her that I was there last night. I showed her the date on the milk. She said No this says May 22 in Spanish to the worker. I said exactly you all sold me old milk it is now July 31st. She got an attitude. and walked with me to the back. Mind you when I was there the night before there was little to no milk. Now the refrigerator is fully stocked with milk they must have filled it before opening. She refused to communicate with me in English. She kept speaking to the worker in Spanish. Little did she know I can understand Spanish. I asked the worker does she speak English? She replied, yes. Then finally, the head manager came out, I explained the same thing to her about the milk was from May and I wanted my money back. The head manager asked me why did you pour the milk out? I responded I don’t know I just did but my receipt shows proof I was here and I purchased 2% milk. Then the rude manager says in Spanish we don’t even sell that kind of milk. I said what are you talking about it’s right here in the refrigerator as I pointed to it?! Like is she crazy? The head manager said ok what do you want I said my money back. She said do you want another Milk? I said yes I’ll take a another milk. The assistant manager got mad and said no the container says May in Spanish.The head Manager said the customer has a receipt. She still continued to argue with the head manager. I said miss what’s wrong with you I have proof I bought the milk last night. The head manager told me miss I will handle her please next time don’t pour out the milk. My issue is the assistant manager had very very poor communication skills. Ver very poor customer service and a very very very bad attitude. She should not be a manager.

You know I never went to Family Dollar before. Started going there by 2 2 1/2 years ago and I got to admit they got a little bit of everything and it's cheaper . Dog food Tylenol shampoo conditioner junk for every season there is. And ugly t-shirts and or clothes to wear around the house I use it to do my gardening. 1 L of ginger ale my favorite used to be a buck now it's a $1.25 still cheaper than supermarkets. Cookies canned beans Ramen soap for the washing machine used to be cheaper now it's about the same price as everywhere else.

It said they open at 8 and I was there at 8:30 today and it was close but you can see some guy talking to some cashier you guys can hired a bunch of lazy people but denied me when I apply right

if I could give 0 stars I would!! my father who is elderly and cannot see very well, asked one of the associates named Sandra the price of an item which she ignored him because she was having a personal conversation on her cell phone so when he addressed her again she yelled at him and said "can't you see, the price is right at the bottom!!" very rude!! so he asked for the manager which she then stated that she was the manager!! my father left the store without making a purchase!! I advised him to no longer shop at that family dollar because the customer service needs to do better! very disappointed
