Buyer be ware- we contacted Mier at Tree of Life Lumber to build us a buffet for our dining room. he had a piece of Indiana Hackberry he said he could build the furniture from. He told us there was enough lumber so the entire piece would be from the same wood. He also told us he could have it done in a week. We told him that did not seem possible. He also told us he would give us a drawing. We never received any drawings. He told us he was not going to use blum hinges or slides, they were no good than weeks later he show us the draw slides and they were blum when I confronted him he said this is all he could get. He said he was going to cut the wood on a C&C machine so the edges would be perfect. We all agreed on the design and since he was so nice we gave him a deposit. The week went by and no news. After 10 days we called and he said he did not start but he would have it for us the next week. This all started on Feb 16, 2017. He said he would send pictures and the pictures were never the same and they seemed to be going back in time.. Finally on May 1, 2017 he told us to come by the buffet is ready. We showed up at 5:00 as scheduled to see a shell of a unit. It was nothing like what he told us it would be the unit was clamped together with three different kinds of wood. What i believe were the doors were warped when they were laid flat on a table. There were suppose to be adjustable shelves inside the unit but he only drilled one line of holes. Nothing was as promised. When we mention this he said he could get 3 times what we paid for the unit and if we want we could get our money back. After being mislead for almost 3 months we said we would take our money back. He said to call his office in the morning and he would give us a check. When I went to pick up the check his office manager told me that the person who was working on the unit screwed it up and that is why there were different types of wood. She also told me once i had the check I could not cash it for 11 days since they needed to make the payroll. They also post date the check (which I believe might be illegal) so I could not cash it sooner. The bottom line is there aer true craftsman out there and Tree of life lumber is not one of them so be ware if you are thinking about using them. You are not going to get what you bargained for

I just moved into a new home I was looking for an unusual piece that would bring something unique to the main entryway of the house. I drive on route 303 on a daily basis and never noticed this place until I decided that I wanted something made out of wood for the entry, a few days later when driving home one day on 303 I noticed tree of life lumber. On a whim I walked right in and spoke to the owner kind of told him a little bit about what I was looking for and he said no problem we can build it! From down to choosing the wood, to the age of the wood, to the finish and finishings that adorned wood everything was custom and built on location. Meir the owner is a true professional, this came out better than we have ever expected we are already in talks of our next custom design of a beautiful 16 foot reclaimed wood table for our huge dining room. He does anything from barn doors, butcher blocks, coat racks, doors, bookshelves and more just literally go in with whatever your idea you want and he will build it. Welcome to the neighborhood what a great business.
