They got me in for an emergency tire patch on a Saturday, it took 20 minutes, and cost me less than $40. He filled my spare, too. Great service, highly recommend

My experience at Tallmadge Tire was disappointing and frustrating. I scheduled an appointment for a mount and balance after confirming over the phone that my rim size wouldn't be an issue. Upon arrival, I specifically asked the technician about potential complications with the raised spoke on my rim, which my personal mechanic had previously encountered. I was assured it wouldn't be a problem.
Unfortunately, the service fell short in multiple ways. Firstly, the front end of my car now shakes at speeds over 50 MPH due to improper balancing. Secondly, the rim itself was visibly damaged during the mounting process, exacerbated by their balancing equipment which left noticeable marks.
Upon discovering the damage, I promptly contacted the shop to address the issues. They agreed to rebalance the wheel but then pointed out a sign stating they do not work on aftermarket/polished aluminum wheels, a detail that was never communicated to me during scheduling or upon arrival. Had I been aware of this policy, I would have refused service. Despite offering a refund for the balance service I couldn't redo with them, they denied liability for the damages to the rim.
This experience highlights a significant lapse in communication and transparency. Potential customers should be aware of these limitations and consider them carefully before choosing Tallmadge Tire for their tire service needs.

One of the best repair shops I've ever dealt with (and I"ve dealt with a lot). Not only did they solve a problem on my RV that 4 other mechanics couldn't solve (carrier bearing), John listened to me and explained the repair process. They got it done fast and kept me updated as they worked on it. Highly recommend.

I think the management of this place is great, they seem to be customer facing. But the people they employ dont care. I brought my truck in and had tires mounted and balanced, got it back and the tires were not close to balanced. My wife brought it back and they claimed to have fixed it. I am going to get into it and I see that the wheel has been gouged, and to cover it up it looks like they colored my rim with a permanent marker. I am at a loss....

So I have two massive complaints about this shop. First, they did a horrible job on my tires. Not only was my car returned with a fairly rapid leak, they forgot to reinstall tire pressure monitors (which Im not even sure why they were reinstalled) but they also claimed to be totally not at fault for either. I let it go because they were fairly courteous leading up to then and just had my tires redone at Wrench’s garage in Greene. The second complaint I have comes from multiple people, who all of them have experienced their terrible driving on the roads around Binghamton. They’ve almost caused accidents, been seen swerving around the road, speeding into the 90s, and generally being a nuisance to the road. I actually experienced it for the first time not long ago where the same car they did a poor job on almost got rear ended because of their negligence. I cannot recommend enough that you find another business to give your money to. Depending on where you are, I guarantee there will be someone who will do it better for less.

The head one is very kind and treats the help good. I know this because my Grandson works there and put on my winter tires. He is happy working there!
