Staff was very happy to help. I needed more pieces than were out on the shelf and they happily went in the back and got me what I needed. There were many choices and it smells like heaven as soon as you walk in the door!

A beautiful, step-back-in-time, candy shop that is always a delicious destination. Love going there to buy chocolates for special occasions. The sweet-smelling corner store is always, warm, welcoming and have helpful people. Their naked sponge candy is worth taking the drive out there. I found a new love in their raspberry jelly on this trip.

My son is working construction in the Alden area and he got me a large bag of sponge candy one day on his way home to Lakewood, NY. It was great, large cubes of the sponge and a perfect coating. I live in Ashville, NY near Jamestown and I've been getting sponge candy from Romolo's in Erie Pa. but theirs is small thin strips of sponge and Henry's blows theirs away with the large size. In fact when my son told me he was almost done with the job up that way I said before you leave the area get me some more sponge candy. He called me tonight on his way home and said he got me several pounds of it. Sponge candy the way it should be made.
