We couldn't say enough amazing things about this Veterinary Dentistry and staff!!! We have always been extremely happy with our local veterinarian who performs dentals under gas. But our little senior gal had to have some specialty work done. So, we were referred to this clinic. From the first phone call to get scheduled, to the exam appointment, to surgery day, these people treated us like family! They were incredibly kind, generous, compassionate, understanding, skilled, and knowledgeable. And trust me, I can be a handful to deal with when it comes to docs telling me what they think I should be doing with my own pets. They let me speak my peace, point out my issues, and wholeheartedly worked with me on the best solution to her pre and post surgery treatment.
They were backed up 2 months in scheduling, but placed us on a cancellation list. A week later, we got a call to jump in for her dental 2 months early! When we arrived, they allowed her to take in her comfort and safety blankets and belongings, and treated her with the ultimate kindness. They also notified us every hour of what was going on through the process. This team is AMAZING and although our precious little girl is hating her sutures 5 days after surgery, I have all the faith and trust in the world that the protocol they directed us to use is working just as it should! THANK GOODNESS we needed a specialist, because we've been very happy with this location as an emergency service as well. It just shows you that there are some phenomenal animal clinics in New Mexico that can service your pet all around!!! 5 stars is not anywhere close to what they deserve. We are shooting for 100!!!

Unfortunately, this a rating for the front end staff. I would not leave my dog there after dealing with the unprofessionalism and immaturity of the girls working in the front end. Then come to find out they contacted other facilities to complain about my animal. I would not recommend to any of my family and friends or anyone who loves their fur pets!! I think the ASPAC & The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) need to be notified about the dealings and up-selling pricing.

Dr Bannon and her staff are amazing!! My cat has had ongoing mouth and digestive issues, and after a dental with Dr Bannon where a number of teeth were removed he's acting like a kitten again, playing, snuggling, all the things he had stopped. Dr Bannon and her staff made she he had the best care and gave me the tools to keep him comfortable and healthy at home, and it was worth every penny!! I highly recommend this clinic!

I cannot thank Dr. Littles, Dr. Bannon and staff enough for fixing my girl. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to fix an oral nasal fistula in my local area we were referred to Veterinary dentistry and oral surgery. Dr. Bannon did a phone consultation with me, since we live 4 hours away. Clear directions and a quote were sent to me. Pam is wonderful. The day of surgery Dr. Littles spoke with me and examined my girl. They stayed in touch all day, keeping me updated and even calling before surgery started to give me the official game plan which included a previously undetected issue. This saved her from needing yet another surgery. Outstanding service and care! Her incisions healed beautifully. My pup is a happy, playful girl again!

I had a wonderful experience here! I was recommended to this clinic for dental surgery as I have a French Bulldog who is more at risk for complications with anesthesia. I was very worried about the appointment as she needed many teeth removed, but it couldn't have gone better! They handled her with great care. I felt like I got very personalized service. Everyone is extremely warm and attentive. Now my dog is feeling much better. I couldn't imagine a better dental experience.

There are vets and then there is Dr. Bannon. I adopted a cat who needed dental surgery immediately. My local vet referred me to Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery since surgery was too much for her. While the clinic was booking out months in advance, they saw me almost immediately and scheduled a surgery for the following week. The moment Dr. Bannon examined my cat I knew I had come to the right place. She knelt on the floor of the room with my cat. That showed me she was a true animal caregiver. The room was warmer and more welcoming than any other exam room I’d ever been in. Dr. Bannon precisely diagnosed my cat, explained everything in detail. She was so kind, personable, and reassuring with my cat and me - a combination rare in any medical practice. The clinic has board certified dental veterinarians and the experience behind the practice is palpable in every detail.
The staff is superb. From Pam at the front to the nurses who lovingly cared for my cat during our visits and the amazing Dorothy who on the day of surgery was in touch with me by phone during every phase.
The surgery was done impeccably. The aftercare paperwork was immaculate and thorough. My cat recovered quickly and well. I am forever grateful for this incredible place.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery. While we didn’t end up getting the surgery needed due to my cat’s other medical conditions, the care we received during our consultation was phenomenal. From the front office staff, to the vet tech, and doctor, everyone was so kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. The experience within the clinic was peaceful and professional. I have never had such a great experience at a veterinary clinic. Dr Bannon was amazing! Thank you!

I spent almost 8 hours waiting to be seen today. My cat has a cyst on her chest that she got from a fight with some stray cats. She didn't want to use the bathroom or drink water in the entire visit. Ths cyst was the size of an egg and she had been sleepy more then usual. The waiting room got packed as time went on and several people who came in after us got seen. After spending 5 hours waiting we asked about being seen and were told that we were next in line if no emergency patients came. They got several more patients and we never got seen. Instead, we got sent home 2 hours later. I live an hour and 20 minutes away from this place. I understand that it's a hospital and that patients with critical situations take priority but, after 5 hours of making us wait then getting several more phone calls for emergencies, wouldn't it be wise to let us know before we spend an entire regular work shift in your facility? I had to call out of work so that I could bring my cat. I sat most of my work shift in their waiting room. My work shift was 11-7:30. This is very unprofessional of a business.

Everyone has been so kind and helpful! Pam at the front desk guided us every step of the way and everyone we interacted with was wonderful. Dr. Littles did a great job on our puppy Frisk. She came home with a little bandana and a personalized folder with her picture to keep her records in. We’re so grateful to everyone there and can’t recommend them highly enough!

The entire staff at VDOSNM is absolutely outstanding and I cannot say enough good things about them. Two of my cats needed dental care and I'm so glad Dr. Bannon was recommended to me. The care they both received was above and beyond and worth every penny. Dr. Bannon made sure to answer any questions I had beforehand, she went over everything she did for them afterwards, and it was great to know I could reach her for any questions during their recovery. Definitely worth the trip!
