Customer service at this location is the best in the city. Selection of available products is also the best on this side of town. The only Smith's I'll shop at from now. Super clean and organized. Plenty of fresh product. Wonderful associates. Shout out to Poppy in self checkout that made me a lifetime shopper today.

I usually prefer Smiths to Walmart. I enjoy the rewards card benefits, especially to save in gas.

James at the pharmacy was chomping down on his food. Was going in for the flu shot and he said “I’m the only one here and I’m eating”. I ask to come back 30-45 mins later and he said “that would be worse”. James I suggest you become more professional when dealing with customers questions and needs. You are one rude human being.

I have been a customer of store 496 in Albuquerque for about 30 years. On 9/3/2024 I visited the store for a few items. I've become accustomed to a lack of hand baskets provided for customers, so I had about seven unwieldy items and was attempting to check out in the liquor department. I was informed I could only purchase the liquor at that register, though. I have checked out with small amounts of items on numerous occasions in the past. Why is there no consistency in the store policy? It seems it is a training problem or lackadaisical management. Either way, there are surely plenty of other stores who treat regulars with more respect. I will no longer be shopping at this location or possibly any other Kroger location.

My turkey rung up the wrong price. We're standing in line and the customer service. Guy is taking over twenty minutes to help a couple that he is not able to help.. So he calls a manager. Apparently he can't help us whilrwere waiting for the manager? He just stands there and will only help the customer that he cant help.
A white coat guy walks by named Chuck, Maybe meat dept.
He sees us, calls for back up and we get help.
Super efficient employee. We didn't even ask him. Chuck saw we needed help and came Obver. You need more Chucks in you store.

I took two friends shopping ? and I also picked up a few things too. I had a little bit of a gard time finding the things I needed as I don't shop at this Smith's on Carlisle & Construction. Other than that, the employees are very helpful and the store is very clean.

Employees at this location are friendly and generally helpful. Store itself could use some updates, but it is usually stocked with everything you need..

Location is excellent. Staff members are friendly. Don't buy any produce here, it's turned or will turn within a day after purchasing.

Why did you forcibly hold down a Black man for trying to steal meat? That's not store policy, that's a lawsuit.

Although the staff is friendly and helpful at the register, I will no longer be shopping at any Smiths. The register rung up raspberries - marked in the aisle as $2.99 for $6.98. I needed to have some "digital coupon clipped." I expressed to the cashier that I didn't see $6.98 marked anywhere and can't tell the difference between items that will ring up correctly and which need the "digital coupon." Even after she found the digital coupon on my app and we scanned my bar code, the raspberries still rang as 6.98. I'm glad she manually changed it.
However, when I got home I re-packaged my chicken I had purchased for the freezer. The package said "4.59 lbs" but upon weighing it to mark for my freezer, the chicken breasts weighed MORE THAN A POUND LESS- 3 lb 6 oz!!! Chicken thighs were also less than marked by several ounces.
False advertising all around. It feels like Smiths is trying to take advantage of trusting customers. I'll be shopping at Sprouts or anywhere but Smiths from now on.

I don’t like to write a bad post necessarily or any post at all but I have to for this one. The manager and another employee was washing down the organic produce section together and had a stack of new produce on a cart. There was only one old kale left and I needed three so I asked if they had more. They said they did but it would take about an hour and immediately turned around and ignored me. I asked a young kid if he could grab me some fresh kale in the back and he said ok. They were so busy ignoring me and talking they didn’t notice the interaction with the kid. When the kid came out they saw him with one and I said I needed two more. He went back to get them and they were clearly disturbed about this. Can you image that! Being disturbed because a customer was getting what they needed. It disturbed them so much that after the kid came back they told him in front of me not to do that because they had a policy that truly made no sense. Something about giving the kale a little water??? I told the kid I was so sorry that his manager was upset with him because he was actually helping a customer. After hearing this, they gave me one of those, I’m disgusted with you, but I’m going to facetiously and smugly tell you to have a great day! WOW…but all I could think was poor kid. He wants to work and be helpful and he’s being embarrassed by the stupidity of management. No wonder our youth are so f…..ked up. Great role modeling there Smiths. YOU NEED TO DO BETTER! Seriously
