I never review companies but for this I had to. I’m not sure if I caught the woman I talked to on a bad day, but I called asking for a super simple question about registered agent numbers to be answered, that would likely be answered in less than a minute, and the woman said with an attitude “well if I told you the answer to that then I wouldn’t be in business because I wouldn’t make any money” “take your question to the state of New Jersey” and took a longer time arguing with me about answering the little question I had than actually answering me. I can’t imagine what it would be like having this cranky attitude servicing my company and trying to pry money from me for simple questions.Edit:I called another accounting office and they gladly answered my question right away. I look forward to doing business with them in the future.

Take your business elsewhere! Renee is so unprofessional and rude! If she doesn’t think she’s going to get your business or make something extra off you, she will dispose of you like yesterday’s trash. She harasses you until you respond to get your business then tries to overcharge for simple returns and when you’re hesitant she becomes belligerent, rude, unprofessional and threatening! Please do yourself a favor and take your business to someone who doesn’t try to take advantage of you!

Renee of Hometown Tax Service is absolutely incredible. She makes the tax filing process completely stress free. Renee responds to questions quickly with clear and concise answers. I did not think it would be possible to make Hometown Tax Service better than it already was but the recently added document portal, which allows you to upload your tax documents and answer questions related to your filing, has done just that. Thank you, Hometown Tax Service for a job always well done!
