We have been taking our dogs, Molly and Shamus here for 4 years and have been getting great care from Dr. Bill and Dr. Karina. From their yearly exams to our ones broken foot. The whole staff there is friendly and caring especially with our very scared anxious one Shamus! Recommend Heartland to all our family and friends.

It is hard to give this review because I have been going there for years and Dr Katina was there for me during the loss of my dog who died at a fairly young age. That being said I typically have not had the best experience with the staff nothing horrible just a little rude. Today was the last straw. I came in for my appointment a few minutes late and the girl at the desk said because your late you will have to wait and be seen between appointments. No big deal but no need to start or justify this emphasizing its because I was late. My wife pointed out after that every time we come here on time we wait 10 minutes to be seen which is typical and not complaining about that just pointing it out. I then asked the girl can you give me a estimate of how long I will have to wait. She responded I cant tell you. I said just a ball park a half hour/ or a hour? Because if it would have been about a hour I would have just rescheduled and came back another day. That was it then a minute or two later a guy opens the door and says can I see you in here in a aggressive manor like he was the principal calling me into the office. I thought for a second maybe they are ready for me. He then started to say we were causing a problem because we had to wait and the girl at the desk came back crying. I knew I was leaving the minute he called me to the room aggressively but I responded that is ridiculous all I asked for was a estimate on how long the wait was because I also have a job. Then I said never mind we are leaving. He then engaged me more saying well what happened. At this point I am frustrated and I cursed. Not at him I used a curse like a adjective like I said that is F EN ridiculous. He then said thats it get out of here you cursed at me a medical professional get out. No I didnt curse at him Im from NJ and I used it as a adjective but he was looking for that reason to kick me out after I already said I was leaving kind of like a girlfriend who takes you back to break up with you later. Crazy.. I spent alot of money there never complained or had a issue but I cannot see me letting someone acting aggressive like that see my dog. I have three dogs and just got this puppy after my last dog died and was excited to bring him in there. I didn't have a bad attitude and was very surprised by this whole situation. I am not sure but I think he was one of the owners Bill Carter I had only seen Dr Katina before and really liked her.

Called them when I was worried about how my dog was acting. They told me it sounded like an emergency. I was very overwhelmed and when I asked where I should call, I was told I could google it.
Very disappointed in the lack of compassion. We ended up having to put our dog down shortly after arriving at the ER
EDIT: I AM THEIR CUSTOMER. My dog’s name was Kaiser… he was a beauceron. Your response is disgusting and untrue .

Drs. Carter have taken care of our dogs for a long time. From basic care, surgeries and hard decisions they are always very professional, honest and caring. The office staff has always always been helpful and accommodating as we live almost 40 minutes from the offices. As long as a Carter is a vet our animals will see nobody else! Thank you!

Such a support veterinary group! Appointments/check-ups are always within a reasonable time out and work with your availability. The business is always clean and staff is very friendly. One instance I was unable to make it in and needed assistance for my dogs ear and one of the vets we see went out of his way to deliver medical solution to my house and left a message with detail instructions! This vet has top notch service and very grateful for them!

This is my third retired racing greyhound Honey I adopted. Dr Bill Carter has been her vet since day one 5 years ago. He’s been my previous vet to my other two male greyhounds we adopted in the past 12 years. I have never met a more greyhound savvy vet in my past experiences owning them. Walking into our appointments with such ease knowing my hounds will be very well taken care of. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Wonderful veterinarian office. Great office, very caring doctors and staff. Super clean. They go through great steps to make it a calm and caring experience for you and your pet, be it a simple nail clipping, emergency visit or full exam. We (and our Greta girl) highly recommend Heartland!

We have used Heartland since they have started business. The doctors are caring and take time to answer any questions, even is the questions come days after the appointment. The receptionists, kennel staff and techs are always approachable and willing to help.

We have been taking our almost 13yr old Lab here for years and will not consider ever going anywhere else for veterinary services. Drs Bill and Katina Carter and Dr Mabin are amazing, extremely knowledgeable and compassionate, always taking extra time to ensure all of our questions are answered and concerns are addressed. We highly recommend them, especially for military families new to the area!

Our family and friends have had nothing but great experiences with Hartland. Including the Carters helping our dog who had epilepsy. They went out of the way to help after hours and gave him the best life he could have. Because of their care he got a few extra happy years. We will always be grateful.
