First and foremost I would like to point everybody's attention to the multiple one star reviews for the rude owner of this business and his inability to speak to customers properly.
So I called this place asking information on getting a dryer replacement. I dealt with the owner on the phone and gave him the model number of my dryer and he called me back to basically told me I could only buy an LG that he had in stock and nothing else would work. I was very explicit in wanting a Maytag. He then gave me the incorrect size of my existing dryer and told me that the other ones wouldn't fit and I could only use this specific LG one that he had. I then asked him if I made a purchase of a different one that I wanted instead of the one he was insisting would be the only one that fit... if I had the ability to return it. He then told me in a very rude way that's not my problem if it don't fit it has nothing to do with me you can't return it. I was really off-put by the demeanor of this owner of a business. Since that conversation a few days ago it did my own research to find out that Maytag makes a direct replacement of the dryer that I needed to replace that was only a half inch deeper and would still fit the need that I had. I ended up ordering directly through Maytag and got the dryer for $300 less than the LG that he was trying to push on me to purchase. I wasn't even going to place this review but it's been bothering me for the past few days on how the owner of a business could be so rude to somebody who's in need of their assistance and not only rude but would deviate from what the customer needs just in order to sell a product that they had in stock on the floor and to manipulate a customer to try and believe that it's the only machine that would fit. I do not recommend this appliance store to anybody. And if the owner ever reads this you should look at the reviews over the past few years and see how ignorant you've been to people and maybe you should do something about it.

This is my second purchase from Tom. I will always give them the business. Tom is amazing and the staff is great. Fast in and out and polite.

Never buy an appliance here. They are horrible. They are rude and nasty guy who works there. They will take your money but that is it . They will never come out to fix anything. To answer Tom Philips I am only 20 minutes away & being in the area can mean 6 months from now. I dont know what you're talking about belittling. . You hung up the phone on me. You don't have good customer service skills.

My mother in law wanted to support a small business during Covid instead of going to HD. So they bought a new GE set 2-3 months ago.First week, the dryer stopped working. When my MIL called them, they told them she had to call GE and their wasn't anything they could do.So she calls GE, and a tech Mis-diagnosed it, sent wrong parts, called again and they are coming out in 2 weeks.So she is out of a dryer for over a month now.Just for good business, the owner should've replaced the units, especially because they took their older set that was probably sold as used.

The definition of the word "install" is:To place or fix (equipment or machinery) ready for use.Now that we have that out of the way, After My mother in law took receipt of all new kitchen appliances from Tom Phillips in Toms River, she was told that she had to pay an addition fee to have the ice maker "installed" in her new fridge. On the invoice clearly written was "Ice maker to be installed" in Toms handwriting. Obviously it was her expectation that this service was to be provided by Tom or a member of his staff. After a phone call to Tom by her contractor, things went down hill quick.I went back to the store this morning and felt as though Tom was in defense mode as we walked through the door. I asked him to explain the verbiage on the invoice and he told me that it wasn't his responsibility to "install" the ice maker. Then started screaming at me. At one point he got in my face as if he was gonna through a punch. All we wanted was an explanation as to the way the bill was written but he took it to another level by berating her contractor and screaming and throwing a tantrum. I was self employed pretty much my entire life . NEVER would i have treated any one the way you treated us today. Tom, you are hands down the most unprofessional IBO I've ever come in contact with but I always believe that what goes around, comes around. I WILL post this on every social media site i can think of. Your behavior is unacceptable and no matter what you write in self defense, you know as well as i do you were wrong! Grow up!

I have never even stepped foot in this store but I sure would NEVER recommend this place solely based on how my mother was treated when purchasing not 1 but 4 appliances! The owner of this business does not know how to speak to people and Please Beware! He Does Not Stand by what he puts in writing On his invoices! My mother is senior who purchased well over $5000 in this store and she was treated so poorly it is actually a disgrace. I am a firm believer in karma And hope it comes back to you in a vengeance. This owner should be ashamed of how he speaks to single elderly women. Shame on you!

They were so nice and accommodating. We needed a fridge because our took a crap. I went there on Friday, he told me what I could have the next day. The delivery man was so nice def went above and beyond to help me. I would def recommend them to anyone.

Just had a dryer delivered. Easiest purchase ever. The delivery guys were great. Very nice and quick.
