It's a great gym with a great clientele. Unfortunately there is usually 25% of the cardio equipment that need servicing which is rather limiting.

Nice clean gym. Sometimes it takes them a while to fix equipment, and they seem politically partisan. You used to be able to watch Fox News on the cardio machines, but it seems to have disappeared a few months ago (I check every time I’m there, but the channel it used to be on doesn’t work anymore). Other news networks still work though, conveniently. They play CNN on the big TV in the sitting section. They used to just have ESPN or something playing there, which is the best options because it’s non-political, but now it’s CNN every day. I’m guessing this is one of the employees.

I’ve been a member of LA Fitness in Brick, NJ, for some time now, and I want to give a special shoutout to Margarita. She is an incredibly hard-working employee who consistently goes above and beyond to maintain the cleanliness of the gym. I’ve noticed her regularly changing the garbages and ensuring that every area is spotless. Her dedication truly enhances the overall experience at the facility. It’s clear that she takes pride in her work, and it makes a significant difference for all the members. Thank you, Margarita, for keeping our gym in top shape!

It's interesting you can only cancel from Monday to Friday when the manager is available, but you can get a membership at any time, any day. They make it difficult for you to cancel, but make it easy for you to join. So many questions, not enough answers. Member be aware

Ishan walked me through everything about the membership and personal training, he was extremely helpful and a big reason that I joined LA Fitness. He made me feel like I was joining a family of people dedicated to improving their fitness! Fair priced membership and great facility with a wide array of any machine you could think of.

"I’ve been going to this gym every day, and I’m always greeted with a smile by Brad at the front desk. He’s incredibly friendly and makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. His positive energy is a great way to start my workouts. It’s clear that he cares about the members and helps create a great atmosphere at the gym. Typical Corporate scumb@g policies. When you want to sign up everyone is accommodating. When you go to cancel your membership you are told the general manager has to be there. I couldn't cancel online because when I got my new phone I lost my user ID and of course no help from the people that work there as to finding out what it was. So after 3 different in person visits to cancel I put a hold on my cc. You're not going to believe this, but as soon as they tried to bill me for the next month, I had emails and texts to update my info for payment. So I needed to pay for the Month in order to cancel. Place sucks and so does their policies. Atilis Gym in Brick has no enrollment fees no credit card to put on file. You pay as you go, because they know their gym isn't trash and you will want to come back.

UPDATE: still nothing has been done about my refund. They charged me for 4 training sessions that I did not want. The manager Mary made a mistake. She admits it was her mistake. But she will not refund me. She wants me to use the 4 training sessions. And get this. If I don’t use them, I will lose them. And then I will get nothing for the $200 stolen from me.
Several months ago, I canceled my monthly training sessions, with Mary at the Toms River branch. Unfortunately, when she did the cancellation, it did not go through. LA Fitness has been charging me for the last several months for training sessions. I spoke with Mary about it, and she is not able to help me get a refund. I have to be the one to contact her to get an update. At although she apologizes, nothing is being done about my refund.
