Horrible workers on this day July 4, 2024. As a customer you should not have to go into a store spend your money and deal with such terrible service. You’re asking for help and they act like You are invading the territory. Need new workers excited about having a job!

Thanks to the deli staff for bring amazing. Ramsey was so helpful last time and another lovely person helped me today. They slice exactly as you ask. Only place I get my cold cuts.

Teaneck is the worst Stop and Shop! All except for two employees I see are nice to deal with all others look miserable. I was there this morning 6/16 and only the self checkout was open. There were 2 people waiting for help. She actually walked over to customer svc to get help. Then an older man asked for help scanning his items. Another lady with short hair and glasses was so annoyed that she actually had to help him. With every item she scanned she had something to say. Throwing the items in the bagging area like she was so annoyed. You never treat anyone that way especially an elderly person asking for help!

Pricey, but they sell certain products that I can't find in other supermarkets (i.e., ACME, SHOP RITE).

They have so much Hanukkah chocolate! One of the customers told me that the Manischewitz brand is being pulled back but doesn't know why.
UPDATE 03/26/24
The reason the Manischewitz chocolate was pulled back is the shelves in December is because some of the dark chocolate coins contained milk.

I've been coming to this store for 4 years now. For whatever reason, everyone except for 1 sweet lady who operates the self checkout registers have negative attitudes, are very unpleasant and have poor customer service. I live in Teaneck and now go to ShopRite In Paramus just to avoid these unfriendly people. The workers at the registers are nice though, but I never have enough groceries to go there and don't want to hold up the lines for a handful of items. In regards to my experience and the noted experience of other customers, this issue tells me that there's a cultural issue with these particular workers at the self checkouts registers. I feel sorry for the one lady who is always nice and always willing to help. Management needs to observe how the workers at those self checkout registers talk to and treat people.

Produce is poor looking, expensive (3.39 for apples per pound). Province and fruit, even though barcoded, doesn't scan. At register, screen does not display savings (you question if sale items are registering) until 3 steps into payment process. Fire the person responsible for programming! The people there have no smiles, are not ready to assist you. They look like they hate life and ShopRite.

I’ve witnessed Illegal aliens stealing shopping carts over the past several years. In recent weeks, this has spiraled of control. They casually leave the parking lot with STOLEN shopping carts. When I ask them to return the cart to the store, they pretend they don’t understand English. I have contacted this store, the manager was ambivalent. If the store management doesn’t care, then why should we care? Because these blatant thefts get passed down to the consumer.
